I read the books and the tv show is pretty damn close to being as good as the books were. I will defiantly be watching all the seasons even if I do know what happens in the end. It kinda makes me think of something happening like this in the real world maybe not so much a parasitic infection but I don’t want to spoil anything just keep watching with your eyes open

At first I wasn’t so sure about the show but around episode 4, I got hooked. It started really getting good and Im glad I stuck with it. I look forward to seeing it every Sunday. Im sad that season 1 is coming to an end. But at least I have season 2 to watch now. Congrats on season 2 and I hope there will be many seasons to come for them.

I really like this show and think it is doing an excellent job in character development and getting the story developed as well. I find it creepy and suspenseful like the Walking Dead. Grateful for a season two. I see another excellent show unfolding before my eyes and gaining momentum for its following.

Great idea but poorly executed. Exciting story that somehow is translated into a very slow cerebral drama. Love the concept , but sadly my weekly watching is only motivated by the hope that things will really start moving. A total eclipse of the sun this week . A real vampire holiday! We spent it watching our hero in a cel for most of the episode while other characters worked through more family drama and mishegous . Oy what a waste. I’d like to see a season 2 but only if they can fix the Writing and pacing.

My husband and I are huge fans of The Strain. The show has the right balancd of horror, suspense and the characters’ personal drama. Bravo for the renewal of season 2!

I like that there is a show that isn’t sexualized to the point that it consumes all the plot line or offends masses of people…. I like that it keeps me watching, wondering and on the edge of my seat. I don’t like the use of children in such movies so much but I understand the need for reality of the story. In any event I would be deflated to see it not get at least a second season to delve deeper into the story.

One of my favorite new shows. I think it’s cool there’s a different type of vampire movie/show from the usual romance ones like Twilight etc. Where the vampires look sexy, normal, loving etc. I find it refreshing seeing scary, creepy, and gruesome vampires for a change. Really looking to see how the rest of the season plays out

When I watched the Premier of this show, I wasn’t planning on watching anymore because I am sick of Vampire and Zombie themes. Over the weekend I decided to try it again and got caught up from Episode 2 and on and now I am hooked.

That’s very good news. Having read the books I feel the show is taking a slower pace, but still, I am enjoying the show. Makes me want to pick up the books and refresh my memory.
