i think they should shoot the 5th season and at the lease put it on the internet under there site so people can by it. Another possibly is if they did something where they have people go onto there website and subscribe to the 5th season and after a cretin number of subscribers they shoot the season and put it up on the internet

A movie to close it out would be fantastic, and could even have a bit of a Firefly/Serenity like boost, where the movie could stand on its own, while attracting new viewers to the syndicated releases of the existing material. Plus imagine how much more could be done without the restrictions of network television on this!

I have very much enjoyed watching all four seasons of the Unit and am very dissapointed that there is no more for me to watch. It was my favourite TV show ever and I was hoping for another series. I know it’s probably too late to re-film another series, but next time dint cut such a good show- especially after just four seasons!

I am 17 and have recently enlisted in the U.S. Army. I say this not to brag but to prove a point. This show had a rather large impact on my young mind as I believe it first was shown when I was in 6th grade. The Unit contributed greatly to both my decision to join the Army and my MOS selection. Watching this show was one of the only things that my Ranger father and I did together. This may seem strange to some of you out there but this show actually brought us closer together. 12 million people cant be wrong and I think most of them would argee with me in saying that BOHICA is the general feeling about The Units premature cancellation. Please allow this show to run for one more season so that me and my estranged father can spend a little more quality time together before I leave.

It seems what the “Big Wigs” sitting in cozy top-floor corner offices with beautiful view of the ocean, leather chair, custom built desk, and assistants to bring fresh $14 Starbucks coffee (If its still coffee at this point) at ring of a bell, fail to realize is what is actually contributing to a “declining viewership”.

The best way to explain this is through an example; I have this great new series, lets call it “The Window”. It airs this September on “Insert Station Here” with a prime time slot. There is huge hype behind the show, everyone’s talking about it, bla bla bla.

First season ends, average of 25 million viewers. Show is a great success; season 2 is on its way, bla bla bla.
Season 2, this time only averages 18 million viewers.
Season 3, 14 million viewers.
Season 4, canceled. “We weren’t seeing the number of viewers we were expecting” (Or some other lame excuse”.

Now lets break this down… Season one, 80% dropped what they were doing to watch, 20% tuned in because the new season of “American Idol” hadn’t started yet.
Season 2, 7 million people have now forgotten about your show because their favorite show is on, or a new show has hit that better suits their interests.
Season 3, 4 million people have also found something else to do; new job, changed their tv provider and no longer get your channel, found a new show, bla bla bla (you get the idea)
Season 4, Canceled. 12 million viewers were hoping to tune into your show. They have followed religiously, grown to love the characters, watched every episode, and purchased the DVD, with 9 hours of bonus material. By season 4 you now have a following, you have weeded out those people who were watching because nothing else was on. Your show is over. “The Network” pulled the plug before the “Story” of your show is finished.
12 million people who have loved your show, now own a 3 DVD set of a story without an ending. Now every Thursday night they tune into one of your competing networks shows. Those viewers are now less likely to tune into your “Next Big Show” because they are still missing “The Window”. These same people are now less likely to get “Hooked” on your new show because they know the same thing is going to happen, you’re going to get them hooked, then leave with the story unfinished.

Hey “Big Wig”, 12 million people want their show back, or at least give it a proper finale. Pay attention, 12 million people, that is 192,000,000 minutes (or 365 YEARS) of commercial time being viewed in your one hour time slot.

One more season isn’t going to kill you. Give the story an ending.

i just started getting inations, and now catching up on to this show, first with syndicated re-runs on my local stations, and now following the series from the pilot episode on line.
Well written, entertaining, and engaging. As much as “medium” deserves a nod, i think this show is much better.
Too bad it went the same route as “24″.

Dear CBS,
I honestly believe you made a huge mistake by cancelling the Unit as well as betraying the huge loyal fan base of Unit Viewers. Season 4 had an average of 9.5 million viewers and it hurts my heart and confuses my mind as to why the show was cancelled. Stop producing and directing these other reality shows AND realise that brining the Unit back will be a great advantage to CBS as well as a highly competitve advantage over other TV channels…..And I am a 16 year old viewer dont think that only the old and WW2 veterans watch this show, the youth enjoy this show and even find it factual and gripping TV series with great epsiodes that never seem to upset,

I am really upset with the ending on season of the unit. Maybe back then the fans where into it because we was hooked on 24. And the only reason why I like the unit is because of Jonas.everytime I look at an Allstate commerical I want to see the unit. Bring it back and they will come. Located in Kuwait, I have iTunes to thank for downloading & watching the show. I’ve downloaded all the episodes with absolutely no regrets in spending all my money on it. It’s a show worth watching in more ways than one can imagine! It’s a crying shame that some CBS pencil-pusher thought otherwise. My bet is that he’s probably some kind of anti-war odd-ball! Fine, CBS is out to make money, but with this kind of attitude towards a large & loyal fanbase, it’s not going to be making money for much longer.

Reconsider, CBS, please.

I wish CBS would be smart enough to pick up on the fact that they have a large LOYAL fan base to work off of in doing a season 5. Quit making “Fox-like” decisions and cancelling shows that are good. This is what really comes to mind there are shows and there are shows. the thing is the people finally can relate to something that they like, to some is a life of what they have been through. to those who have served in the military service, or any type of law enforcement. the people are right, wouldn’t you like to have very good ratings, that brings in more money. Or just to some just another show that comes and goes. try and see it for what it is . the show that has a serious side, a side that shows how the military works thing out. a side that makes a person want to join the service, (maybe)? . but what maters the most is this is how the world can relate to things that are around us every day of or lives. real talk. so … why not try it what can it hurt , making more money or spending more?. .

I just watched The Unit for the first time, and I LOVE IT!!! It is disgusting to me that CBS would Pay charlie sheen millions of dollars an episode for that stupid show that has no substance, but would cancel a show that sheds light on the sacrifices our Military
Men and Their Families face everyday.
You want to know what is wrong with America? We focus too much time and money on worthless stuff (Charlie sheen, the Kardashians, celebrity rehab, anything on MTV or VH1) and not support the Men and Women who sacrifice for our Freedom. The Unit brought to mind these great people and gave me a renewed motivation to support them more then just a BBQ on Veterans Day. Damn you CBS for not having your priorities in order. If I never see a Charlie sheen, csi, amazing race, survivor episode again, it will be too soon!

The note on the bottom of this page says that this post is over a year and a half old, and there are still people to this day who want it to come back. How can CBS justify all the big budget horrible shows they continue to pay for and tells us that the production costs for The Unit are just too much. I bet if the creators put CSI or NCIS infront of the shows title they would be willing to pay for it, I mean seriously how many more cities can you use for one show.

It’s like watching a really good movie at home then your power goes out half way though and then you miss the whole movie. That is not what the entertainment business is all about. This show was great and a cancelation has seriously disappointed me, no matter what the plans were for season five I believe in the writer n crew that it would of been as good if not better than the other seasons and they should seriously consider doing this last season for the fans. There is no other show that is like this one and we want it back please help us!
