Agree with all the above – if a series doesn’t have the “F” word throughout and lots of blood, guts and guns it is cancelled. This one was quick, funny, and smart – so it gets cancelled.

Thanks to Netflix for showing it. Maybe shows like this and Kidnapped should be revived.

just watched the entire season straight through. absolutely loved it. i don’t watch a whole lot of tv anymore because of the stupidity factor. popular shows seem to cater towards the dum mass and make the rest of us dummer. i was so excited with the unusuals because it was hilarious and i fell in love with each of the characters. the writing was so good and refreshing, i actually chuckled through each episode. imagine the shock i got when i found out that it was cancelled. i don’t get ‘glee’, but i really got ‘the unusuals’. this is my beef with the world, why is poor taste always the popular choice.

What the hell is wrong with TV executives? Cable, pay, broadcast…it doesn’t seem to matter. They’re all run by idiots. It’s been happening for years…HBO cancels Deadwood, Showtime cancels Huff, HBO cancels ROME, network tv cancels Studio 60 but keeps 30 Rock…it goes on and on. They’re killing any and decent shows that come along. Why don’t they just make every show about farting and get it over with. Next thing you know they’ll cancel Modern Family.

Again, I can’t believe I find a great new show that has great writers and is
very humours and GET’S cancelled. I am watching it on Netflix’s and decided
to look it up to see how many seasons I would get to enjoy. Same thing happened to Kidnapped. What is wrong with the executive teams. Bring back the great shows.
I could only get through 3 espisodes of Lost and I can’t believe that show would
last over the Unusuals or Kidnapped.
Getting very discouraged.

So just finished the full run on netflix…I HATE that you find a great show, really really smart writing and good story lines where you actually laugh out loud and then it’s cancelled. It’s like an unexpected death. What about the MRI results? Same thing happened when I finished In Plain Sight. Is that one coming back? arrrg! Stop creating for the watered down audience in Bum Huck Arkansas and go buy yourself a shirt with a backbone in it stupid abc executive team. Wants mo’ smatt stough!!!

I basically agree with everyone else here. I too am watching this on netflix and I love this show. Thoses ****** execs do not know what a good television show is. There has been so many shows that I like cancelled for no apparent reason other than profit. Which is why I really don’t even watch much television anymore anyway.

It makes me sad to see this show was cancelled. ABC, i hope one day you get cancelled yourself as well. You don’t give a **** about the show, it is all about rating and money. If that show had some sex scene in it, I think rate would be higer. ABC, turn your TV show from family movies to porn movies; that way your rating will hit the roof and you cam make money. Ist you cancel My Life and now the Unusuals gets the axe. What’s up? Everytime you create a good show you trash it. It more than numbers and ratings. It’s about content. Sometimes you need to invest in a season or two to allow your audiance to catch up.

onestly if they wanted to make this work they should make something happen
like make Walch brake up with his girlfriend and then make him have a sudent iterest in shraeger so that a litle suppens happens and the a fyew episodes after she disapers she gets kidnaped by some guy shraeger’s dad owed that guy money so he took her so that his dad mooves his but a little bit .So since walch likes shraeger he is going to play the hero on thi investigation etc etc…..
and they have to make the cases end. cuse sometimes your note shure if the cases end or not . and they have toshange the subject a little bit like make a conflict happen so that it makes this stroy a little more intersting but other than that the people at ABC should wake up and they should bring this show back beacouse this show with a little changements could make a lot of profit!!!
and to all the people out there that said bad stuff about this show i think you gise should give it a chance

i hope ABC will read this coment and change there minds!

I am fast losing faith in ABC! This was one of the few shows I watched last year and they cancelled in before even giving it a chance. The numbers game with network officials is a joke in this day and age. I for one never watch a show when it actually airs. Due to my schedule I record all my favorites and watch them on my days off or late at night when I can’t sleep. I was actually hooked on this show after the very first episode and really miss it. It is still listed on my DVR to record all new episodes, just in case someone at ABC actually wakes up and brings it back!

Well I ‘m 56 years old and I loved the show..but like all really good shows that make you think,smile and dream the networks cancel them. everthing comes down to the ads dollars . This 56 yr old is tired of all the ads and too little of the show. Twenty years ago an hr long show was on for 48 to 50 mim. and 10 to 12 mim of ads. Now they break just about every 7 to 9 min into the show and cram 15 or more ads in. CRAP of them.

Every time I like something or get used to knowing where it is, people take it away from me. “The Unusuals” is definitely entertaining… as opposed to “Real Housewives…”, “Lost” (I was lost after about 2-3 episodes), “The Bachelor/Bachelorett”. Who cares – it’s none of my business, so why do ‘they’ have to air somebody else’s laundry?!
“The Unusuals” is refreshing… people need to laugh.
If I want to know what’s going on in someone’s home, I would go there… why blast it all over the tv?
This is really p***ing me off.
If there wasn’t so much garbage on tv, there’d be plenty of time-slots to put a good program in.

I just started watching this show on YouTube and I LOVE it! It makes me sad to see that it was cancelled. Of course they have to replace it with sex-filled rubbish. Finally a show with an intersting plot, interesting characters, smart humor, & great acting and they don’t even think to give it another shot? I loved every single character and I looked forward to each episode. What a shame!

This show was amazing, Adam Goldberg became one of my favorite actors in this show. I will buy this if it ever comes out on DVD and and would have loved to buy any ongoing seasons as well. Within the first few episodes this became one of my top rated shows, and one of the few reasons to watch TV these days.

Unbelievable, a show my husband and I could enjoy together and it’s canceled. There were so many new shows on last year that by the time this one came on tv watchers had already set schedules and perhaps it didn’t get expected ratings. The same happened with pushing daisies, it came back when all the new shows and schedules were already established. Life on Mars was awful but had The Unusuals had that spot from Sept. it would have been a winning show

Those of us with higher I Q’s, that like to watch intelligently designed shows, also buy products advertised on television. I’d wager we have somewhat larger coffers from which to spend than the average 18-49 year old reality-show-watching moron. It seems to me that when tv execs cancel shows of this caliber, and there have been a lot lately, they disreguard an entire demographic, but they still try to sell PC’s and retirement brokers to beer-swilling, chain-smoking, couch potatoes. Go figure.

The Unusuals was, by far, the best show I have seen on your’s or any other network in a while. I can’t believe it’s been cancelled. Get your heads out of the glue pan. The other networks had nothing to compare to “The Unusuals” as they have nothing but the usual on every night. This was a bad decision ABC and I hope you change your minds, or better yet, another network decides to pick it up.

I just found out this show was cancelled. It is such a shame it was a good show. I loved it, as well as a lot of others. Now I was thinking about ABC, and I then got out my guide, and started searching for shows on ABC. I can not find anything else that I want to watch on this channel. I can see that I can block ABC and will not miss anything.
t is such a shame, this was a good program, I looked forward to it to come on. Now all I can see that ABC has to offer is, Dancing With The Stars (actually Dancing with the Fallen Stars is more appropriate I think) and Greys Anatomy (This one got old after two seasons in my book).

I really think it should be rethought about cancelling Unusuals. It is much better than you think.

I concur with most comments lamenting the passing of this promising show and agree that its concellation is reflective of the “dumbing down” factor in television today. The Unusuals had the potential of being in the same league as Hill Street Blues and Homicide: Life on the Street (perhaps the greatest police tv drama of all time).

Why oh why do they not stick with a show and give it time to find an audience. this was such a well written, funny show. I looked forward to it every week and I will miss the characters that never really had a chance to develop… Big mistake ABC and America for not supporting shows that are different… Here you have Castle which did make the cut and it is ok, but so predictable… When will the two main stars act on the sexual tension between them….. boring…. same ole, same ole. For my money the Unusuals, was just like it’s title, wonderfuly unusual…. Wish another cable network would pick it up….

Maybe one day there will be a commercial “IQTV” station that has gritty and witty, well written shows and doesn’t cater only to the lowest common denominator of sub prime couch potato. The last time a great show like this got the axe was when CBS canceled (twice) “Due South”..a quirky, well written and acted dramedy. At least someone else picked up “Due South” in syndication and it lasted another three seasons…maybe the same will happen with “The Unusuals” We can only hope! TNT…or USA…are you listening?

A real shame. It was a highly refreshing show and totally different to the many procedural crime dramas out there. It seems these days how good a show is has little to do with how high the ratings are. I do reckon this show could have been a hit on a less mainstream station.

All the networks are replacing great shows with junk. Im so sick of all the reality shows and game shows that are taking over prime time.

CANCELLED !!!
My wife & I love Amber Tamblyn.
We were pleased when she got another slot here after “Joan…” was cancelled.
You just start to get into the show & characters, looking forward to watch and THEN IT”S CANCELLED!!! It makes you NOT want to start to watching ANYTHING new for it may lead to another let down. UHH!!!
