Why cancel the show? You can’t continually remove a show from the air for weeks at a time and expect Nielsion Ratings to remain high. In fact, the Nielson Rating Sytem is again showing its weakness at judging how people view television. The Nielson families are into recording and watching later, or watching shows online whenever they want.

The polls clearly demonstrate that peolple want the show to remain on-the-air, so why is there even a discussion among TV executives about the show’s relevance to its viewers?

Silly people making decisions, because everybody wants to win every time slot…it’s absolutely ridiculous to remove a show that’s consistently good.

I have read all the VPD books…way before the show was even thought of. I couldn’t put the books down. The show came out and I was very dissapointed. Nothing like the books. But I do have to say Paul wesley….*yummy* lol. I like the show but the books are still number one in my opinion.

I like vampire diary and I am in the 35 to 45 age group, if they ever decide to take it off CW. I think they should put the show on a cable channel, seems like most shows are during better on cable, that is what most american are looking at. Thay can put it on syfy or tnt.

i agree Vampire diaries is an amazing show. i live all the way in the tiny island of St. Lucia and i’ve got lots of friends who can’t get enough of it. as well as supernatural. two shows about gorgous sexy brothers, y not? the season finales of both shows kept me aching for more!!!

Actually, Twilight copied Vampire Diaries. The series was originally a trilogy published in 1991 and the Twilight book series came out in 2005. If you read both, you’ll see that Stephenie Meyer(author of Twilight) copied a lot of things that happened in Vampire Diaries. Get your facts straight. =)

The show is amazing, a group of us got together every Thursday to watch it, it was a great girls night. We talked during commercials and watched the show when it was on. We all love it! When the repeats were on, we were disappointed. And now I just found out it is or may be canceled? I definately say KEEP IT! we love the show and want to watch it still

I love the vampire diaries and agree with whom ever said that it gets better with each episode. The story line has developed however I am tired with this teenage drama of I can’t be with you back and forth business. I think they need to further that part of the story line and stop playing with it. i can’t wait util it comes back on!

I didn’t find the show that entertaining at first but I gave it a shot and by episode 3 I was hooked. It was the development of Damon’s character that did it for me. His character brought with it, a balance that the show was lacking.

Awesome Show! It really grabs you emotionally and brings you into their world. It’s very intense. In my opinion it’s the best drama on TV right now, a welcome break from all the murder mystery’s. The character development is great. You will truley feel the romance, fear, and sadness in any given episode. It is not a typical teen show, this show can truley be enjoyed by adults of all ages and sexes. Beware, it’s easy to become addicted to it!
