The Vampire Diaries: Season Four Ratings

The Vampire Diaries has been The CW’s biggest ratings winner for quite awhile but for how long will that trend continue? Will one of the network’s new shows surpass it? We’ll have to wait and see.

Revolving around a pair of vampire bothers and the young woman they both love, the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries typically airs on Thursday nights on The CW network. The cast includes Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Steven R. McQueen, Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Matt Davis, and Joseph Morgan.

Here are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if The Vampire Diaries is going to be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season.

Final season averages: 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.64 million total viewers.

1.0 in the demo (0% change) with 2.28 million (+5% change).
Season averages: 1.25 in the demo with 2.66 million.

1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.18 million total viewers.
Season averages: 1.60 in the demo with 3.18 million.

Year-to-year, the show was up by 7% in the demo (vs a 1.5 rating) and up by 3% in viewership (vs 3.1 million). It also provided a great lead-in for the premiere of Beauty and the Beast.

Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.81 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

The show can be saved if julie plec fucking stops writing! If the show gets cancelled i will blame her! She is the one writing the bullshit that no one wants! She has no idea what she’s fucking doing she does the complete opposite of what the entire fandom wants and is probably left shocked when the views go down! She should read some of the fans fanfics because they do a better job at writing the show than her! I won’t even be surprised if season 5 is the last season and the originals will soon follow if she go’s with this baby fucking bull shit!

I love vampire diaries im a total anime freak and didnt really wacth real shows other than spongebob but vamoire diaries is perfect it has perfection in everyway and if they canceled it i think i would cry i almost cryed when i thought i was done with the whole show and it was canceled but it was never canceled and i stoped crying and im gona get to the point the CW needs to keep this show because alot of people lov3 it i love it i wacth and hold bafk tears eac episode and cry at thr end because indont want to miss a moment of action thats going on i love this show and whoever made it has a very great mind and the actors very good lik3 i said in the beging of this super long paragraph this show is PURE perfection and this arrow show ive never se3n it but its sounds fagetish this arrow show will get bown up by our ratings s

keep on Blaming the cw network for canceling for canceling 90210 they should’ve renewed it for a full 90210 season 6 with no series finale i am still watching the cw network programing shows but the cw network seriously needs to clean up their mess and fix the demo raitngs for 90210 for a Toss up Rnewal for 90210 since they were the ones who canceled GG in the first place

Arrow has beaten Diaries in total viewership all season … and Arrow will beat Diaries outright starting next year, including in the 18-49 demo.

to be honest it doesn’t matter TVD is 4 years older
Supernatural beats Arrow after 8 years
TVD has never fallen below a 1.0
especially not this season
Arrow’s averages 1.0 and 0.9 even with more viewers meaning by the time TVD starts getting those ratings maybe season 6
it wont matter
Arrow has more viewers but TVD wins the demo
to be honest as a new show arrow should be expected to outperform TVD demo wise right now or in season 2 although TVD may only move to second place.

What The CW Network needs to do is to start up by clean up the mess from what happened to 90210 season 5

Hart Of Dixie or Vampire Daires Goes With 90210
Vampire Daires go with 90210 or Supernatural
Supernatural go with Arrow or a Possibility Cult
Will High Ratings shows ending up being on 8:00 at night can low ratings shows end up being on 9:00 at night or the weekend timeslot
Carrie Daires Goes With Beauty And The Beast
Hart Of Dixie or Vampire Daires Goes With 90210
Vampire Daires go with 90210 or Supernatural
Supernatural go with Arrow or a Possibility Cult
So here is the low ratings Can go with

The Reasons why 90210 and GG getting low raitngs it because the network is still renewing ANTM and it’s shifting low ratings to 90210 and GG if the CW Network can fiqure where the low ratings are coming from
