TV show description:
After a tragic car accident that kills their parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and her 15-year-old brother, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), are left to pick up the pieces of their lives. The siblings now live with their cool-but-overwhelmed Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning), who is doing her best to be a surrogate parent.

Elena’s always been a star student at Mystic Falls High; beautiful, popular and involved with school and friends, but now she finds it hard to hide her grief from the world. She manages to find some comfort with her social circle — best friend Bonnie (Katerina Graham), frenemy Caroline (Candice Accola), and former boyfriend Matt (Zach Roerig).

Unfortunately, Jeremy’s on a more dangerous path, hanging out with the stoners and using drugs to mask his pain. Jeremy’s also trying to figure out why Matt’s sister, Vicki (Kayla Ewell), is suddenly rejecting him and hanging out with Jeremy’s rival, Tyler (Michael Trevino).

As the school year begins, Elena and her friends are fascinated by a handsome and mysterious new student, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). Stefan and Elena are immediately drawn to one another, but Elena is puzzled by his bizarre behavior when he suddenly appears at the cemetery where her parents are buried.

What Elena doesn’t know is that Stefan is hiding a dark secret of his own. He’s a vampire. At a bonfire party the next night, Elena and Stefan are just getting to know each other when chaos erupts and Vicki is attacked. She’s left bleeding from a savage bite to the neck.

Fearing that he knows who is responsible for the attack, Stefan returns home to find his estranged older brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Damon’s also a vampire and the two brothers have a long and bitter history. Damon ridicules Stefan for rejecting their legacy of violence and brutality, but he understands his brother’s obsession with Elena. She looks exactly like a woman that Stefan loved more than a century ago; a woman that Damon tried to make his own.

The two vampire brothers – one good, one evil – find themselves at war for the souls of Elena, her friends, family and the rest of the residents of Mystic Falls, Virginia.

Though I don’t like Vampire Diaries like I did Moonlight, I do enjoy it. I would hate to see it ripped from the screen. In fact, I would like to have Season II, III and so on. It’s a show that allows my vampire fix and has a pretty good story line. The acting is great and believable. I hate TruBlood and yet HBO keeps pumping out the sorid story line with poor acting associated. Please keep VAMPIRE DIARIES because I look forward to Thursday night to see this show.

I like all these shows!! I love Blood Ties. The actors did a great job (Kyle Schmid :D ) and I was always lokking forword to monday nights. I also like Vampire Diaries and Monnlight. Twilight (the movie) is not really after my fancy but I liked the books.
Blood Ties was offset, Moonlight was offset, please go on with Vampire Diaries!!!!

Watch ‘Kindred, the Embraced’ it wasn’t bad either–another Vampire show. However, it bit the dust after one-year also. Forever Knight was enjoyable but not as good as Blood Ties. It last three years before it was dropped. I enjoyed Blood Ties but felt that Twilight dimmed in comparison with Moonlight. I haven’t see the 2nd show of Twilight but will I am certain. I don’t like True Blood but it will be on, like forever. I hope CW keeps pumping money into Vampire Diaries. If you like Vampire shows, try Brad Pitts “Interview with a Vampire.” Keep hoping someone with bring back Moonlight or at least a movie to finish the story.

Please don’t cancel the show,… Seriously The Way you guys do Ratings sucks & is incorrect & does not give a accurate description of the ratings the show gets or its popularity,…
Jump online and go on any torrent site and you’ll see 1,000′s of people downloading or streaming the shows,… & it’s like that on every site,… 1,000′s of sites with 1,000′s of people downloading or streaming,… So you really need to update the way you use your technology to get more accurate ratings on shows,…
You guys keep canceling extremely popular shows without a clue on their popularity,… You put shows on long breaks and then wonder why ppl loose interest or stop watching,…
This is the reason why most ppl grab whole seasons and watch them right through,… or like myself download each ep live from the usa each week,…
I hope this helps you understand and perhaps look to better more precise methods in determining the accuracy of rating and stop canceling popular shows in future,…
Kindest Regards,…
Jimy V.
