As we discussed here, HBO’s gripping and gritty drama, The Wire, is coming to an end.
The fifth and final season kicks off on Sunday, January 6, 2008. But, if you can’t wait quite that long, you can pay to see the premiere six days early on Monday, December 31st via HBO’s On-Demand service. This pattern will continue throughout the 10 episode season.
Series creator David Simon has already said that the final season will focus on the media. Most of the other details are being kept under wraps but, if you’re so inclined, you should be able to pick up a few clues via these promos. Stay tuned!

i hate that this is the last season of the Wire. if this is the last season i hope they explain every thing. like why rany and cheese have the same last name. i have a lot of question and i dont think they will be all answered in one season. i hop im not disappointed with the season 5. there has to be at least 10 season for a series to be good. im mad this is the last season.
