The X Factor: Simon Cowell Says FOX Series Will Return Next Season

Is The X Factor going to be cancelled? Though the FOX reality competition has been having a pretty terrible season ratings-wise, Simon Cowell says that “The show will be back next season.”

The X Factor currently airs twice a week on FOX and is having its lowest-rated season-to-date. The Wednesday editions are currently down by 37% in the 18-49 demographic and the Thursday installments are down by 42%. The most recent episode fell to a 1.2 in the demo with less than five million total viewers.

Cowell said that he might have a different role on the show next season, suggesting that he may not return as a judge.

If FOX is going to renew the show, it seems likely that it may only air once a week next season.

What do you think? Do you watch The X Factor? Would you miss seeing Cowell on-screen?

I’m tired of tv being flooded with nothing but stupid singing reality shows, stupid reality cooking shows and stupid house-flipping shows and stupid housewives. Oh, silly me. I meant to say stupid housewives shows.

The question should be: WHY?! It is a worthless waste of time and money ‘program’ like The voice, American Idol etc. Who in their ‘right’ mind wants to watch anyone screech and howl on national TV and embarrass themselves? Those stupid ‘shows’ should be off for good. Stop wasting $ and airtime with worthless stuff like this one!
