i’m pissed… sure i’m a bit late in finding out, but come on, this was a great tv show, no matter how late i come in, i still need to say this. It needs to be brought back. Not only was it inspiring to become an organ donor, but it wasn’t too serious either. It wasn’t like a dry show which would make me lose my interest. There was humor that i love in these… especially by Katherine Moennig… she’s an amazing actress! there was no point in cancelling this show, it pisses me off. CBS needs to get their act together, otherwise it’s just going to start losing more and more… bring back 3 rivers, it’s worth it. If they can’t see that, then they’re a bunch of pig-headed idiots without knowledge as to what we, as their viewers, want to see. bring back 3 rivers, then i might consider watching CBS again, otherwise, congratulations, you’ve got another hater.

CBS/CW Need to bring Moonlight back! I will watch Alex in whatever he is in! I think he is an amazing actor. But I would probably not watch Moonlight if they recast him. He and his chemistry is what made me and my teenagers love the show.

I have commented before, but this time want to direct my comments to the CBS Execs. Do they even read our comments at all? If they did, they would see that having only tried Three Rivers on Sundays was a complete mistake. They did not even give it another chance on another night. They would understand that trying any t.v. show at all on Sundays only is a huge mistake. Football and other sports games always interfere with good regular programming. I am appalled that the execs did not give it a chance on another night and cancelled it right off the bat. I am surprised that Cold Case has been on as long as it has on Sunday nights, but I surely think Three Rivers deserves a chance on another night. Though I do like Trauma (I love anything medical), I think Three Rivers has a more poignant message to the t.v. viewers, and should definitely be given another chance. Hey execs., I look forward for a reply from you.

Ya not really sure why three rivers was cancelled..Big…HUGE mistake..My family and friends all looked forward to sunday evenings just for that reason… Maybe there wasn’t enough people that knew about it and what a great show it is…let’s all make sure we fight to get it back on….

I am so pissed I want to know what the hell happens I mean the TV networks are giving this great “Don’t miss the next Medical Drama” ( ER Shot) Then you see a HUNK of a man. So your hooked. Though I liked the Donor guy…Alex your eye candy to. But I mean you start this story for all of america to see then you cut everyone that LIKED IT OFF. I have a DVR. I watched your show after my kids were asleep. But I have to say SUNDAYS are a BAD time to ever have a NEW SHOW. 1 if there is a GAME of any type and it has extended time then the show starts late. so the DVR would only record the last 20 mins and you miss the first part. Now Sundays the TV does not belong to people that would be interested in shows like this because there’s a GAME ON and the DVR is recording the show for the other person. Now you have the STUPID AMAZING RACE on and that cut into my recording of 3 rivers. I could never watch something that was most of the time LISTED BUT NEVER THE RIGHT THING ON. I have VOWED because of Jericho and Now Three Rivers I will NEVER watch another NEW SHOW ON CBS AGAIN……….NUTS CBS I HATE YOUR NETWORK. STOP BEING SO ******* GREEDY! Maybe if you would CUT A FEW BONUS then you would not be so worried about the damn ratings…

Please don’t cancel this show. It was a GREAT show but I think what the biggest problem was the fact that it came on at a bad time with football running late, then the amazing race. CBS made a huge mistake in cancelling Moonlight! That was really , really STUPID!
Alex O Loughlin to be a very talented Actor, the Chemistry with Alex and His co-star’s on Moonlight was HUGE.
I watched Three River’s form day-one, again I’m sorry to hear , Alex will no longer be seen.
But at least we can ALL see Moonlight, on the SCI-FY Channel’s, or if Your like Me, You have the whole series on DVD!! Maybe CBS should start listening to the viewer’s, at least the one’s , that have left CBS!

I enjoyed Three Rivers, also because of Alex who totally excelled as Mick St. John. I feel CBS really blew it when they canceled Moonlight. Now the other networks are raking in the dough CBS could have had if they had to foresight to poll and listen to the public. I don’t know who made the decision to pull Moonlight but I hope they lost their job for stupidity!

I wish I could be an organ donor but anything short of my involvement in an accident before lupus or Sjogren’s destroys more of my body than it has so far, there will be nothing remaining to donate. Even my eyes are not viable because of an eye disease and a problem with my optic nerves; however, the one day I will always carry in my heart was the day when my oldest daughter went to get her driver’s license. She was 16 years old. The officer who filled out her paperwork after she passed the driving test asked if she wanted to be an organ donor. She asked for a moment to come to me to ask for my permission, my blessings for her to do so. It filled me with such pride it spilled over into tears. How many children of her age think of giving life to another should her life end?

That was probably my most precious moment spent with her so far especially because it was such a grown-up decision and she put the needs of others ahead of her own with the knowledge that should she die, there was still some way for her to carry on to help others live. I only wish more adults had the courage and care for others that my daughter had at 16 and continues to have nearly a decade later.

As a world, there needs to be more education on the subject of organ donations. So many people die each day and their deaths could save and/or change the lives of so many others yet ignorance often prevents people from agreeing to donate their organs out of a misplaced fear that doctors won’t do everything humanly possible to save a life because they are in too big of a hurry to donate organs, which could not be further from the truth. Three Rivers showed this side of organ donation. I’m thankful that the organ transplant program is the one system where money and social status does not prevail; everyone has a chance to move to the top of the list and there is no way to buy your way there. Now if only we can somehow go beyond the financial boundaries to receive care and cover the costs of surgery and anti-rejection medications so the transplant system will truly be totally equal for all. That’s my wish.

I too was disappointed to hear ‘Three Rivers’ was canceled. For a medical drama focused on transplants, it seemed to be a great vehicle to promote transplants and how vital it is that we have people out there who are selfless and want to be unknown heroes to other people. I just found out recently that my father needs a double lung transplant and sadly here in Australia there are none available. So my dad has to wait. I have no idea how long he will have to wait, but a show like ‘Three Rivers’ showed people how vital it is not only to be a donor but for the people who are blessed to be able to receive such a gift. If transplants are such a taboo subject, what about a hospital dedicated to saving cancer patients.

Three Rivers just wasn’t interesting. But ‘Moonlight’ was. If the network got the entire team of writers, actors, director, producer, etc together again to pick up where the vampy series left off – maybe, just maybe the chemistry of the hit ‘Moonlight’ would take off again. If not, you can buy the entire series for about $25.00 like I did. At least it has no commercials.

I increasingly get annoyed with network television for sinking to the lowest common denominator. The reality shows may be cheap, but they look it. Why can’t intelligent adults get quality television. This only happens on cable television now, not network.
Three Rivers was a show that doctors watched, and that’s saying a lot. I beg the network to give this show a chance, or eventually they will lose all of their viewers to cable television. Is that what the networks want? Please give it another chance, in another time slot.

I just learned Three Rivers was canceled and it pisses me off tremendously! I’ve sat through with family members and friends who have had to undergo transplants and let me tell you, it’s not an easy thing to survive or to witness. I thought that having Three Rivers show the TRUE way in which transplants happen would perk the interest of the public but it seems that GOOD television is just not what people want anymore. Heck, I LOVED Moonlight; excellent television show yet it was pulled too. What morons are making the decisions? Are they just throwing darts at everything that isn’t a stupid reality show or cooking show or Donald Trump berating young educated people attempting to make their mark in the business world? If I wanted to hear all the bitching and moaning I’d find my birth father. He always did a great job in that dept with his alcoholism to help fire him up for the physical abuse that followed.

I’m sick of the shows that seem to stay on forever like the constant onslaught of let’s watch people prance around to a dance contest or listen to a chef berate others, let’s watch some idiots on some stupid Japanese game show… Good television has gone to crap. I actually disconnected my dish because there was never anything on. Now I go online to watch the old television shows that were great such as Moonlight, Beauty and the Beast series with Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton, and others…. It seems that the writers made out like bandits during the writing strike yet they came back with a bad case of stupid. It can’t even be called writer’s block – it’s plain out stupidity. The few that manage to write original scripts have others who screw it up by tossing the great shows and putting on or keeping the bad. Nobody wants to watch the same crap on every channel every night. Bring back real television before television itself becomes obsolete.

CBS could at least give viewers the credit and allow closure to Three Rivers. If they don’t, then shame on them. I hope they lose out big time in 2010. I want them to lose their shirts so they will start realizing that people want more than to listen to stupidity on television night after night. There has to be more than court dramas and reality television where someone is always belittling and berating others unnecessarily. I’ve personally thought during my flicking through channels that those who were in the reality tv shows like the Chefs from Hell series should file lawsuits against the man who was constantly cursing and belittling them in front of not only other chefs but in front of so-called customers. It’s amazing how dumbed down the series line up has become over the years… Sure, the shows of the 80s and the good few of the 90s were a bit cheesy but at least they were interesting and different and it didn’t rely on constant tv beratement teaching our children that it’s okay to act like an ass toward co-workers and strangers when it’s not.

Although I don’t agree with the first part of Martine’s comment( I love medical drama’s esp house and Grey’s and thought Three River’s was quite original) I do agree with the 2nd part. Moonlight was amazing and Alex was born to be Mick St John – not to say he doesn’t play other characters well but Moonlight will always be my favourite show of all time. It would be awesome to see a second series or movie and from what I have read from fans can’t see how it could poss fail. Whether or not Alex would want to revisit his role or not though and whether CBS would accept defeat remains to be seen. It was left on a cliff hanger though with a lot of unanswered questions so personally I think they owe us a conclusion at least:)

I agree with what most people have said. Three Rivers never had a chance. It was not a particularly original show (ER, anyone?) Yes, I know it was different, but it felt like “reheated stuff”, I’m sorry to say. The premise wasn’t that easy to believe for starters (what are the odds that all these transplants would happen in this manner?) Anyway, the main reason I watched it was Alex O’Laughlin. And the reason I know about Alex is Moonlight, a show that was excellent, original, fresh. Moonlight sold like hot cakes when it came out on video (that’s how I discovered the show; never have I regretted so much not watching a series live). The question now is: do CBS executives have the guts to admit they were wrong about Moonlight and it should be restarted? Alex O’Laughlin was born to play that part. He did an extraordinary job and were the show given better publicity (as in, more catchy), and considering the base of fans that already exists, I have no doubt it would be a success. Come on, CBS, just swallow the pill and show you can turn around an earlier misjudgment. I doubt you will regret it.

Moonlight should come back. And I agree with one of the writers, that now in this craze for Vampire shows, Moonlight would be a hit, that wasn’t given a chance before. These new vampire actors are not that believable to me. Alex was the BEST… and I am a lover of Vampire movies since my childhood. Network TV execs need to listen to the public, and put Moonlight back on TV, or make a Movie. Please!

I totally agree with Elise – so do a lot of other Alex fans. I don’t know how Alex would feel about revisiting his role as Mick St John but his fans would go wild! They just need to give us a few more episodes or a movie at least (tho a second season would be awesome!) to answer all the questions they left in the first season. I saw an interview with Alex saying he couldn’t say too much about Mick’s character coz they were visiting his musician side and more about his past in the 2nd season – but we didn’t get a 2nd season:( Plus to cancel it now when the Twilight craze is happening?? It would be the perfect time to make a movie I think:)

I honestly feel that Moonlight needs to be revitalized. It was an amazing show…personally the best vampire series that I’ve ever come across. It had the perfect blend of reality mixed with myth and was wonderfully written. It needs to come back!!! I miss you Alex O’Loughlin!!!

This show never had a chance. It’s on immediately after football is over. If a game runs over the show gets pushed back and back and back. I tried to DVR the show and ended up with half-shows every time. Just no way to really enjoy it. I wish they had picked a different night for. It would have had a chance then.

Three Rivers, another show that isn’t getting any chance. I liked the show a lot. Ofcourse it isn’t ER…duh! It’s not supposed to be another ER. it’s supposed to be an entire new show.
I hate it when people compare medical drama’s with other medical drama’s. Each show has it’s own personality and should be appreciated as such. There will always be lovers and haters and that’s everybody’s good right, but pulling a show after it hasn’t even been aired for a full season is just ridiculous.
I loved the actors, each one of them are very experienced and great actors.
And yes, I loved the episode with the guy with ALS. I think it was the best episode yet and I’m sure we would have had more great eps like that.

I am very upset that Three Rivers was cancelled. It took awhile to get use to it, seeing it replaced my favorite CBS show Cold Case. I am so tired of Desperate Housewives and Football so it was great to have 2 great shows after Amazing Race. The only good thing is the Cold Case is back on at 9:00 pm, please put Three Rivers on in January and give a another chance…..

Of course, cancel a great show again. Alex O’Loughlin is fantastic as a transplant surgeon. And Sunday nights after 60 minutes and Amazing Race and Footb***. Yeah, it might be on by 10pm. If it’s lucky!! Give it another chance. And another suggestion for *** the networks!! Stop with splitting the f*** and spring seasons, it doesn’t work!! By the time we get to January and sometimes May, it’s *** over for most of the plots. Who cares by then. Just put on 22 weeks of TV like you used to and get over it.

I loved Moonlight and was shocked when CBS cancelled the the show. What a bright move that was, I swore off watching CBS after that,Then they put Alex O” Loughlin back on in Three River’s. I tried, I really tried to like the show, but in all honested, you guys are not ER. I just couldn’t keep watching them same thing over and over again. I found the show slow and boring. (On the other hand my husband loved the show) LOL, go figure. IAM HOPING FOR ALEX O” LOUGHLIN TO START MAKING MOVIES. (umm he is the next brad pitt lol )

I gotta say, I’ve been searching on the PVR to find out why it was not on and now only to hear this. I always do enjoy medical dramas , I have been totally hooked on Three Rivers. Great cast, some amazing story lines especially the man (Victor) dying from ALS and wanted to be taken off life support. I’ll certainly miss it!

I wish they would bring back Moonlight so much – it was never given a proper chance with the writers strike and all. Besides, Mick (Alex) was the hottest vampire EVER and Jason Dohring was such an incredible actor! I do so miss that show – but am watching the reruns on Chiller even though I’ve seem them countless times already. Three Rivers is okay, but I only watch it because Alex O’Loughlin is in it. I truly don’t think the show itself is that good.

I started watching again when I heard about this show and Alex being in it. Also love Miranda character. It took me two episodes before I realized I used to watch her in the L Word. I believe it was a mistake to cancel Moonlight and now Three Rivers is on the block. My husband and I both love this show and not just because of Alex (although his acting is superior, sensitive and believable). The show story lines are gripping and intense and hold our interest to the point where the silence in the room is deafening and sometimes we’re not even breathing. Please don’t cancel this show! It’s one of the best on TV.

I loved Alex Oloughlin in Moonlight, that was my favorite show, and I also love Three Rivers too. What confuses me is that they say it is being cancelled when there not sure yet. I hope they don’t cancel Three Rivers because it is awesome. Also what makes me really upset is everytime CBS keeps putting Alex Oloughlin’s shows on there they cancel them, or is thinking about it. I’m just sick and tired of shows that are always about crimes, and the police, there are too many of them, and half of them I think are not that great, when shows like Moonlight and Three Rivers is amazing. I think if they are going to get rid of Three Rivers when it is really popular and people like it, then why don’t they get rid of shows like NCIS or Cold Case because NCIS and Cold Case are the same, and Three Rivers is not the same as other hospital shows. That’s what makes me really upset and mad.

I liked the show but it never had a chance as long as it was going to follow football. You can’t DVR the episodes becasue they always run late due to the games running over so you never know what you’re going to get. It should’ve been debuted on a different night.

Three rivers is such a good show. I got really emotional on the episode from 2 weeks ago where the man donated his organs to all those people. It’s a really moving show. It has amazing actors like Daniel Henney. He is very talented and the show should be given a chance. I hope it doesn’t get canceled. T_T

I would be greatly disappointed in CBS if they take Three Rivers off the air. I am a huge fan of Alex O’ Loughlin. I was very upset when they pulled Moonlight off of CBS. CBS will be fools if they take Three Rivers off the air. I would be very sad.

I think Three Rivers is one of the best TV shows in a long time. The acting is superb and have even brought me to tears. I can’t believe this fabulous show hasn’t made it. Hope they rethink this decision.

What is the deal with CBS?? Why do they keep cancelling series starring Alex O’Loughlin? Moonlight was awesome and I’m still annoyed that they only made one series and now we don’t even get the chance to see Three Rivers properly in Australia!! Do they actually ask the viewers what they think. Why pull a series after only 1 viewing when you haven’t even given it a chance.

I have to admit I have not seen 3 Rivers – but Alex O’Loughlin in Moonlight — OMG — made me wish I was Beth!!!Well not always cause she was too high strung sometimes. I just learned about 3 Rivers by searching him on IMDB and found this article. I just watched the 5 day marathon of Moonlight they had and I am sooo sad that the series ended after only 16 episodes. I want some more Moonlight! giggle. I think I am a little two old for Vampire Diaries… it was great having a hot 30 something vamp to drool over.

I hope they don’t cancel Three Rivers! I like this show so much more than the other medical shows that are on the air. I feel the reason it doesn’t do well in the ratings is due to football being on! This show very rarely starts at 9:00 PM due to football.

I LOVE THREE RIVERS!!!! I don’t think that it is fair for the network to cancel a show that has not been given a fair chance to really show what it can do. Frist of all they have it on Sunday night which is filled with football or basketball (when the season starts.). I think its a good show and it deserves a shot. The actors are great together and I think that the show could really make it. I also think that the show gives good insight on what happens when doctors are faced with choices.

Three Rivers has got a great cast! A former vampire (Alex O), a former government agent (Alfie Woodward), and a former lesbia n (Katherine Moening). You’d think this show would have a large loyal following. Too bad that the show doesn’t have a “real feeling” to it. The plots are very predictable. The characters have very little interaction with one another. The hospital is very “sterile”, there’s absolutely no realism to it, there aren’t any doors in the individual rooms. Operations happen in minutes. I would love to see this show improve cause I really love the main stars!

There are so many new hospital shows , too many.
They feel old and stale.
I have been watching the BCC online and they seem to have such interesting and different shows, like Ashes to Ashes and I love the new Dr. Who stuff.
I wish all the TV did not feel so “samey” in the U.S.
I do love The Closer, and Saving Grace, and In Plain Sight and of course House, (which features the amazing British Actor, Hugh Laurie.

Love Alex! Really loved him in Moonlight and wish it could have at least been finished. Three Rivers is good but just not as good as Moonlight. Find a good series for Alex as he really is good to look at and he agree he can act.

I could watch Alex O’Loughlin just stand still for an hour — but Three Rivers isn’t doing him any justice. I agree with other’s coments, that there is no personal development on the people. It’s hard to care about someone you don’t know anything about except that he’s supposed to be a great physician. Someone needs an organ – someone dies – etc. etc. – week after week. Boring!!! If the writers would give the actors personalities like Grey’s Anatomy this show might have a chance.

people they don’t “bring back” shows, they can be “saved”…party of five…jericho…but rarely are they brought back. this show is fresh and has great potential…i’m tired of ER wannabes …there will never be another ER…deal with it….I love where I think this is going and Alex O’Loughlin is doing a fine job of selling the show…just stick in there….

Three Rivers doesn’t work well because there is limited character development and only the cases. Given the ultra-modern feel of the show, it’s hard to believe there is a hospital like that. The cases are the same every week–someone needs a transplant, someone dies, and will they get the organ in time? That can get old real quick.

Moonlight had poor writing, which is why that show failed. It was rather corny. That show had too much character development and it’s hard to find something in between. Although Joss Whedon is “out there”, he struck a good balance between character development and procedurel.

I agree Bob Moonlight has to come back. Alex is Mick St. John for sure. It is his role he was awesome in it and will be again. I love him no matter what he’s in but I much prefer Moonlight. When it does come back it will not be through CBS, but WB owns the rights to the Moonlight series.

ER was one of a kind and had the driving force of originator Michael Crichton and John Wells behind it. Now, there are too many pedestrian cop and medical shows, which is why so many are withering before they get started. Three Rivers, Hawthorne and Trauma are NOT as good as ER or Grey’s Anatomy, and Southland isn’t another Third Watch, Homicide, Boomtown, or NYPD Blue. It’s not that these newer shows are bad, it’s that they’re not that great, either — they’re not particularly compelling, and you don’t feel like you’re missing all that much by not seeing them. Their characters don’t exactly grab you. Compare Southland to The Closer, In Plain Sight, Criminal Minds or Numbers, and you’ll see what I mean. I really like Alex O’Laughlin and tried to like Three Rivers, just as I liked Treat Williams and tried to like Heartland, but in both cases, the shows just didn’t make me sit up and take notice. I felt bad for the actors.

Given the weakness of Three Rivers and the overwhelming popul;arity of True Blood, the Twilight series, and now The Vampire Diaries, I’ll bet CBS wishes it hadn’t canceled Moonlight prematurely. But they did, the silly fools. Now they get to eat crow while watching Three Rivers bite the dust, and we viewers once again lose the opportunity to watch the talented Mr. O’Loughlin. More’s the pity.

Three Rivers is actually the best of the influx of new medical dramas this season. (Mercy is absolutely horrible, IMHO.) Thus far the acting is quite good and the scripts have been compelling and will only get better as the show matures. Football season is the reason people haven’t found this show–plus there is way too much competition on Sunday nights. Should be moved to another night.
