I found Three Rivers on Netflix and thought it was great. I do not watch TV , but based on what I see and hear about TV shows, Three Rivers didn’t have a chance because it was good clean drama and who likes that after all. Another sign of our sick society. I think American society needs a heart transplant.

CBS why? why? why? is it your mission to cancel every good show ever created? Three Rivers was and always will be a great show. It helps people rethink their lifestyle and organ donation. At least one good came from cancelling Three Rivers, that is Alex O’Loughlin went to act as Steve McGarrett in Hawaii Five-O. Other than that, screw you CBS for cancelling an awesome show and if you even think about cancelling Hawaii Five-O, I am personally going over there and punching the President of CBS right in the eye. I will you know! Then I’ll kick their butts and push em’ of a building!

I can not believe you cancelled this show. I am watching it on Netfix and it is awsome. Story line is great acting is great also. I also watched cold case…. But this surpasses it 100 percent. Typical so many channels and so few good shows. Consider bringing this show back and you may have a chance of some good ratings but if cold case beat this show you did not give it a chance. I stopped watching cold case after first season. So typical of what is on air. Gone from good to tiring. Booo.

Like angela I discovered Three Rivers through Netflix. I watched all 13 episodes in about 3 days. I really enjoyed watching the show. It showed the world the meaning of being an organ donor and how it effects the worlds. The truth is that it was probably a show that one can watch without worrying about the sex and drama like every other show on TV. I think that CBS made a huge mistake with taking it off and I hope that they change there mind.

My husband and I just discovered Three Rivers through Netflix and are about half way through the episodes – they are great! The show has humor, wit, and is thought provoking and intellectually stimulating. So sorry CBS let it go just because of the nubmers! The main characters were made for their roles! Too many good shows which could help educate the public go by the wayside and I think it’s probably because this one didn’t have any sex.

I, like others was introduced to Three Rivers by Netflix. I understand CBS and ratings driving income. It was a powerful show. Sundays are horrible for male audiences and male dominated households – anything short of football is a filler.

I wish the series had developed a different night and the love story/conflict would have developed sooner. But this was a human drama of taking horrible, picking up the pieces and turning life into hope. It’s message was outstandingly presented – just not at the right time. Don’t blame CBS – they try to present the best at the best possible time – sometimes quality does not survive the economy.

I think cbs is making a big mistake canceling this show. I just found out about this show today and was checking out some episodes online. only reason i didnt have a clue that three rivers was on tv is because i dont watch cbs. they dont really tend to have very entertaining shows in my view and when they do they cancel them. To bad the show wasnt picked up by another station one that people tend to watch that has shows worth watching.Then maybe people would have known it was on.Cbs come on bump up the entertainment factor would you your putting people to sleep.

I fel CBS is making a terrible mistake by cancelling this series. This series changed my outlook on donating organs. I wasn’t a donater, until I watched this show. Since the show went off the air, my brother in law was killed in a motorcycle accident. He donated his organs, skin, etc… Every show I watched brought me to cry like a baby. Please reconsider again about cancelling three rivers,

I am so sad. This show was moving both in story line and it showed the advancement of technology. It also gave outsiders a peek (may it be a glorious peek) at how transplants work. The slow building love story was not bad either.

The show was obviously cancelled because there wasn’t a pretty actress who was a regular. You need a back story involving love and a beautiful actress. Love makes the world go round. It would have been nice to see Daniel Henney’s character have a love interest.

Me and my family love Three Rivers! It is a show with stories that touch our hearts and souls….plus the casting is perfect! I have never seen such a great cast whose chemistry and appeal are such a bomb since Hawaii Five-O! My husband and I love to watch Three Rivers and Cold Case. They are both great shows.
It stinks that they have been canceled. Please reconsider for us fans who looks forward to watching these programs each week. There are very few good shows on anymore and the stations end up taking the good shows off, leaving nothing good to watch.

I too thought this was a great show and can’t believe it too is cancelled. I will admit, I missed some episodes. That was not because I didn’t want to watch the show, it was because I found that once interested in the series, I could not pin point the next episodes date/time and would sometimes miss them.

Maybe other people missed episodes because they too were not sure of the series show time???

Unbelievable – another great show with Alex and it gets canceled. Are you guys crazy! This was a wonderful and inspiring show, great for families to view together. I am just shocked it’s canceled.

Alex was also in a show called Moonlight. It was an amazing show, but aired too early (before the vampire thing had really kicked in), what a lose that was. Because it too was an amazing show.

Let’s hope the Hawaii 5-0 gets a fair chance and doesn’t get canceled too early. You are all missing out on a fabulous actor.

The sad truth of the matter is that too many people would rather watch tv that has no thought or depth involved in the storyline. They would rather watch the kardashians acting like idiots, proving that society is going down-hill fast, and sad has-beens trying to find “love” by drawing names out of a hat. Three rivers was intriguing, the sad thing is though, that if I hadn’t searched for other shows with Alex O’laughlin in it after I watched the 1st and only season of Moonlight, I would have never even known that the show existed. CBS refuses to properly advertise their shows so how can they expect anyone to watch?

I agree. It’s hard to even attempt to get hooked on a show because as soon as you do, the good ones go. I really really liked Three Rivers and felt it was inspiring and make you give more thought to donating your organs if you aren’t already. I also like Miami Medical but again, afraid to get too tied up in it as it will be pulled too. I just don’t get why they leave all these reality shows and trashy tv shows and then take away good ones. They don’t even give people a chance with it.

Three Rivers was a good show that just needed a bit of time to come together. As a person who only watches tv shows through the internet it took a bit of time for this show to get my attention. CBS appears to enjoy sabotaging themselves. The quality of television programming is whoa-fully lacking. Three Rivers was well done and interesting without becoming over dramatic, or too soap opera. Miami Medical had it’s merits also. Canceling quality shows just encourages all of us to give up on television completely.

The problem with Three Rivers was the time slot. NOBODY could find when it was on. It followed football and when it ran overtime, it affected Three Rivers. We learned to also taped Cold Case so we could watch the last half of Three Rivers. There was one week, we watched it over 3 different shows and had to piece it together.

The network NEVER gave Three Rivers a chance. I enjoyed the show. I don’t think it will come back on since Alex O’Loughlin is now on the new Hawaii Five O show.

A show with meaning is cancelled . . . and the stupid brainless ones seem to stay on. I don’t watch much TV – shows are not designed for the intellect. They like those that make fun of and put down others. Ugh.

A good show needs to be given a chance to develop a following. With all the spring/summer sports events, many people are just now looking for new shows. Shame on CBS.

Three Rivers is a terrific show. I never saw it advertised in the fall line up. Also I am sure it probably didn’t get the audience due to Sunday night football. Also there are many people like me who does not like football, so I never turn on the TV on Sunday. I discovered the show when my friend stayed over. She was a dedicated watcher. After watching it with her I was hooked and was disappointed when it was removed. Then I saw it on On-Demand and was thrilled. I thought it had been resurected. I just can’t believe that TV keeps all the crapy reality shows on the air and cancels good TV. It seems that whenever I enjoy a show it is cancelled. I was a dedicated fan of moonlight, ghost whisperer and medium. medium has been revived and I am hoping the same happens for the others. With so few good shows on the air I am wondering why I even keep cable.

I believe THREE RIVERS to be a SLEEPER HIT! I believe it to be socially relevent. It puts a spotlight on the importance of organ donation. It might even encourage more people to register as organ donors. I can’t remember any other show that has the possible influence to save lives. Three Rivers has made my decision to register to as an organ donor easy. I honestly believe that it would make it without O’Loughlin, with the new addition to the cast. It would also be there for him to return to. It reminds me of ER and O’Loughlin is the new Clooney.

as i wrote yesterday july 2, 2010, COLD CASE has to stay,it is the show i tape from all sources and when i go on holidays it is the one show that has preference above any other considerations—i don’t care if you change the day, the time, the affiliated channels, BUT just play it, pleaaaaaaaaaaase—my friends and family are hooked for the unique ways the show has of travelling in time, i just love it to see a character talking “old” and being “young” in the same breath—also the older the murders, the better we can appreciate the Times of years long gone—-i could go on and on, but i think the big boss No.1 got the message—-my greatest respects for all involved, but especially to the genius brain of Mr. Jerry Bruckheimer, who is everywhere at once, cited in “Inside the Actor’s Studio” by Mr.Lapaglia ( Without a trace)—hopefully yours,

I agree. I only recently heard about Three Rivers and liked it. I never saw any kind of publicity. I was channel surfing and came across Three Rivers. I enjoyed it so much I set it up to tape each show. I didn’t know that this wasn’t the first season and was disappointed to hear this was the final season. The Network didn’t properly advertise the show (like above I don’t remember seeing any advertising)and I don’t think they gave the show enough time to catch on. Hopefully the network will reevaluate their decision and bring it back.

Totally off the subject while looking at the different posts I noticed there are 2 others that spell their name Karin. On my birth certificate my name is spelled Karin too. I changed it from Karin to Karyn when I was in middle school to see if it helped people pronounce it correctly. Didn’t work. Anyway I pronounce my name Car-in, like Car in the garage. How do you pronounce yours? And any other Karin’s out there.

Sorry Karen, but as a patient on the UNOS transplant list, I can tell you that YES, these doctors ARE that concerned about their patients. Not only the doctors, but the whole transplant team are dedicated professionals who truly DO care. My transplant team feels like family to me and treat me as if I were part of their own families. I think if CBS wants to live up to their new slogan (CBS CARES), then they will keep this potentially life-saving show on the air instead of replacing it with more of the same old, mindless garbage that they seem to love so much.

As a mom of a living donor, a wife of a soon to be reciepiant and a transplant reciapiant, i feel i have a good understanding of transplants. 3 rivers is a disgrace. All copies burned an their med advisor dr. Pepper fired. It is a insult to any transplant team/dr/donor or reciepiant. There was no truth or reality to their shows. Shame on them, they could of done so, so, so much better. Keep stupidity off of tv!

I love three rivers. I have a best friend who is 35 years old in the process of getting placed on the heart transplant list and my father needs a transplant as well but because of other issues can not . This show is so close to what actually happens in the lives of so many people daily. A wonderful true to life show that is not a soap opera or a reality show but filled with actual true life events. I can not express enough how much my family and I enjoy watching Three Rivers. I too belive this show needs more publicity and a better time slot. This show has potential to be one of the best running shows on television. Give it a chance DO NOT CANCEL THREE RIVERS!!!

All I can say is that I’m glad I left Three Rivers in my DVR because it has picked up these last couple of shows. This is the best show on TV in my opinion. Please bring it back! It is so good. Also I found a song I hadn’t heard before, Kathleen by David Gray from the last episode. Great writing, great characters, humor when needed, seriousness when needed, good music… what more could you ask for? Please bring it back.

I know that Alex O’loughlin is on a new show now but honestly when will they stop with all the reality garbage and keep shows on that really are about meaningful topics. I think it is a well thought out show and it has kept my attention from the very first show. like the others I really do hope CBS will reconsider and keep it on. Hopefully Mr. O’loughlin is talented enough to keep up with two shows

As Alex O’Loughlin is starring in the new Hawaii Five-O remake, I’m sure Three Rivers is done. This is disappointing to me, I enjoyed the show and was impressed how they actually followed the science and accurately depicted UNOS and the organ network.

Maybe that’s why it didn’t do so well – it was too intelligent.

I am totally upset that Three Rivers has been cancelled. I don’t think it got enough advertisement. I didn’t see anything about it either, I accidently saw that it was back on when channel surfing. I thought it was a great show. I think a different time slot would also be nice. I agree with the post above, everytime there is a really good show it gets cancelled for garbage.
I will definitely be watching the rest of the shows, but I am hoping it resurfaces in the fall. Just please let everyone know!

Having become a kidney recipient myself last year (i got it from my husband!) i watched three rivers for the first time tonight…not knowing what to expect from this show i was pleasantly surprised by it. The public needs to know that this a life giving procedure….i was especially glad to see that the “daisy chain” was touched on…that this is possible. Everyone needs to know that they too could be a life saver. Over 4000 people awaiting transplant die every year waiting for a transplant.
Please don’t cancel this show…we need to have this information out there so another life can be saved…

I just found this show on last Saturday night, and then again this week. Am so sad to hear that it is going to be cancelled. Never saw ads for it last year. It is one of the best shows on for a long time. My husband died a sudden death, and we donated his organs and tissues. I think this show if it were to stay on tv could give donation lots of publicity, and help people to know that it is the right thing to do. Three Rivers is amazing. Not only the characters but it helps folks remember that the transplant program can save so many lives. People need to remember and what a wonderful show to help them do so. I wish the show had not been cancelled, but at least they are showing the last of the episodes. They are on Saturday evening. Even if CBS decided to bring back Three Rivers, it would not have Alex in it as he is committed to the new Hawaii Five-O that will begin in the Fall. Previewed the clip of the show and I think Alex has a show that will stay on the air for more than one season. It is not medical, but it is action.

I wrote the first time it was canceled and now here I read they have canceled it again! It is so upsetting to see a show with a real message to encourage transplant organ donation being canceled. I realize it is a drama and is not quite the way it goes but that is not the point of the show as far as I am concerned. It is a way that entertainment can bring a message to encourage people to donate their organs. Pretty sad if it is one CBS market dictating what they will broadcast!

Please stop and think twice about this decision to cancel production. Many of us really enjoy the show and the message!

We loved Three Rivers last fall. I am thrilled to watch the five remaining episodes this June. Please CBS, pay attention, this was not a show to cancel. It was finally a medical show that was entertaining and had an important message to help education the general public…not just another soap opera. My husband is now going on year two of the transplant list. Please keep Three Rivers on the air to help the general public understand all aspects of organ transplantation. I love this new show!! I think I lost a few of the episodes, due to why I think maybe it did not do well! No advertising of the show, I just happened to come upon it last year! And fell in love with it, you can’t help but hold on to the edge of your seat! Looks like the “donor” associations would want to promote the show, my family has always agreed to doing this ourselves if the need were to come about and we were able to be blessed with being a donor, but what about the people who have never given it much thought, least makes people talk about the subject, people are able to hear how their friends and family feel about the subject…and it will be stored in their minds for future reference….I was so excited when I happened to see it on the schedule – for tonight when I was setting up my DVR…no did not see any commercials for the series! Never did last year either!! How about a week night??

I’m sure my opinion doesn’t count, but if this show was on during prime time, Monday – Thursday at 9 pm as a lead in to one of your hotter shows, such as CSI, and left it there for a while, you would find that this show would be a hit. This show would be a great substitue for the long running NBC hit ER. The characters are charismatic and very likable.
Please give this show another shot before canceling.

It was flat from the start. No gloss or shimmer. Unattractive boring characters. If people want real hospital shows they have them on some channels such as life in the ER and others it’s called reality shows. I want exciting drama with gloss and attractive strong characters. Three Rivers just was a bore.

I have extensive hospital experience and generally do not watch any of the medical shows. But I did make an exception and watched all of the episodes of Three Rivers that aired. I thought it was an excellent example of ethical and moral medical teams working together to achieve the best for their patients. I was very disappointed when it was no longer on TV.

We loved the show – with the abundance of medical drama’s available to choose from we definately feel that this show stood out above the rest…..Its a shame that the audience out there has not given this show a viewing – Just noticed that a new episode will aire on Saturday – Thank you, I will enjoy the last 5 new episodes this summer and hope that the audience out there will watch the show…maybe by chance CBS will change their minds on the cancellation. Oh, one more thing, that Alex is absolutely yummy!

CBS posted that the reason for cancelling Three Rivers is because it was pulling viewers away from COLD CASE. RED FLAG——-CBS——–You are beating a dead horse with COLD CASE. We want something new…and when you constantly cancel the good stuff we stop watching the C R A P that you leave on. COLD CASE is washed up and constantly repeating story lines DUH

I LOVE this show! Especially the first episode which talked about the patient getting an LVAD. My husband got an LVAD in October 2008 and I think more people should know about these lifesaving devices. Anyway, they could take away some of the stupid shows like The Bachelor or Amazing Race or Hell’s Kitchen or some the stupid reality shows that make no sense and are not worth turning on the TV!

Three Rivers is NOT coming back; CBS will be showing the remaining episodes that were shot for the series. This is according to Alex O’Loughlin’s blog on My Space.

I just read someone’s comments that said the show was coming back. As much as I hoped it would, if it does Alex O’Loughlin would not be in it as he is staring in the new Hawaii 5-O that starts in the Fall of 2010. Don’t know how that would be, but I will give the new show a chance just because Alex is in it along with one of the guys from Lost.

I hear int he next couple weeks we may have a chance to save it. Sop DVRing it (my bad as well as many others) and appreciate that we may get another chance!!!!

I really liked the show, so did my friends and family members. I believe Cbs should put it back on the air in slots where the higher rated shows aren’t on, therefore the ratings will increase. This is the simplistic solution, also it will keep the Three Rivers viewers happy. This is called cause and effect.
