TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a tough and experienced female police officer from Seattle, Allison McLean (Kelli Williams). Like most working women, her hands are already full, balancing a demanding and dangerous job and a family — husband Matt (Jonathan Scarfe), and teenagers Jeff (Mitchell Kummen) and Rachel (Natasha Calis).
She and her partner, Devin (Dion Johnstone), must arrest her brother, Tim (Luke Perry), for aggravated assault. As a result, her world drastically changes. Tim is convicted and sent to prison and this leaves his two teenagers — Cameron (Rhys Matthew Bond) and Mariah (Matreya Scarrwener) — teetering on the brink of foster care.
Having done the right thing as an officer of the law, Allison now feels compelled to do the right thing as a sister and aunt. She brings Tim’s two very unhappy teens into her home. Squeezing four teenagers under one roof proves to be an additional test of Allison’s strength and patience. It’s not easy for her husband, her children, or Tim’s kids either.
Episode #10 — Protect and Serve
Allison and Devin uncover the shocking truth at the heart of a turf war in Crestview. Allison and Matt take the entire family to visit Tim in prison. Jackie, feeling jealous of the way Cameron looks up to Allison, makes a tragic choice.
First aired: October 14, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Ties That Bind TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I have been looking forward to this show for months…I vote to give it another try
Loved this series. Should have been renewed for sure. Hard to find a good family friendly show like this.
Really liked this show. I loved how they were able to deal with tough subjects and still have it as family show. I am going to let our daughter watch with us. There isn’t any crime drama shows for teens that I would want her to see much less watch with us. I found this show when I was looking for something else and it caught my attention. I hadn’t seen any previews for this show but if there would have been I think it could have been renewed. Well written and good acting. Shame it was cancelled.
Patricia Potter Just started the series and checked to see how many seasons to look forward to. Very disappointed to see it was canceled. Please bring it back. Great writing, acting and nice to be able to watch as a family.
So sad that this was cancelled. I just got done with season 1 on Pureflix and felt it was a really good family show. Something I would let my kids watch. There really isn’t much TV that I like or let them watch. Bring it back please!!!
Just finished watching the first season on Pureflix. I loved it, so I tried to find out when season 2 would begin. I cannot believe this was cancelled. Again, a good show that kept my attention WITHOUT cursing and inappropriate content has been dumped. Please bring this show back. There are people who do enjoy watching a good show without having to worry about muting or changing the channel.
Good show. I looked forward to seeing it every week. Would love to see you come back!
Bring it back!! We need more clean good tv dramas!!! So disappointed this didnt continue 🙁
I want a second season!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show! I am so disappointed it was cancelled.
I just watched season 1.I liked it.I hope yuns decide to bring it back.
This was a great show. This was so close to the truth. My new kids can relate to this. This is why I had them watch. They should put it back on.
We loved this show. I am very disappointed it wasn’t renewed for a second season!
Enjoyed season one on Pureflix. Sure wish it would have continued with a season two. Good values being taught, and that’s hard to find these days in the entertainment industry.
I loved Ties That Bind. There aren’t enough wholesome TV shows that portray good morals, and this one should not have been canceled. I’m bummed. Something is going on with UP programming lately. The same movie is repeated on consecutive time slots and on numerous nights. I miss the UP original movies and was looking forward to more original series. What happened?
