im upset that trauma was cancelled! its my favorite show. i really hope nbc changes there mind about the show.after i watch the episod i have to watch it over and over again. i watched every episod 6 or 7 times.i think its a mistake that they cancelled it. i will miss it so.

I’m highly disappointed that NBC is cancelling Trauma. That’s the only thing I looked forward to watching. I got so many people to watch it and we are all disappointed. Now that football season is over I think it could get more ratings. The show is great. Nothing I’ve found lately compares. I hope they change their minds and keep it going.

Wow, we can’t believe that Trauma is not coming back. We thought they might have been on a short hiatus but now we hear that is not so. The storylines were inventive and exciting . . . . the thrill of a “call”. Our favorite character was Rabbit.

Especially now that NBC has 5 prime time hours to fill!
I say fire all the “Exec’s” at NBC! Except the one that maybe(?) that decided to bring it back for a second season! It was /is(?) one of my favorite new shows for this season!
And they choose to keep “Mercy!”
Lets keep hoping for a season two!

well, they are still filming… saw them last week wrapping up at Washington Square in North Beach. a crew there told me they were ok-ed for another season and they were still shooting scenes in the City. it’s always great to see a film crew shooting in your hometown!!! i used to watch NBC…. since Trauma ended (and I missed the last episodes in December due to my being in Sydney and that stupid NBC site is a joke; couldn’t watch the shows online at all!! grrrr) i have NOT been on NBC since. i DO love Ltterman’s jokes about the sorry station tho!!! :^D

Although it sucks that Trauma is cancelled, it didn’t surprise me at all.
The middle men wont budge from their profit margin even though the nielson ratings are no longer a valid indicator and the people who make the shows are stuck in the same routine.
Until they change the way things are done, shows will continue to be cancelled and I will pirate all my favorite shows advert free allowing me to watch them anytime I want in full High Definition

Give me a break, I’d rather watch re-runs of “Leave it to Beaver”! At least Trauma is a show that is interesting and has reality to what America experiences every day. Chuck is….worse than boring!

I am very upset that this amazing tv show is being cancelled. Not only is the story line great but the actors and actresess to are good aswell. I am currently in grade 12 and i am going to apply at college to become a paramedic and that is why i find this show so interesting . I know that the stories are tweeked because it is a tv show but still.
NBC should give the show another chance.

Please don’t cancel this show! Its one of the few on TV right now that I make a point of watching EVERY week! I’m a EMT, and I LOVE IT! The reason being that it is shot “on the streets” and shows a lot of what we see everyday…We don’t see this type of trauma, in this magnatude everyday, but a show that is like our real life, would be really boring. The scenes are more realistic that any other I have seen, why can’t they keep a good paramedic show on? Everytime I get interested in one, it cancels. And I agree…get Leno off TV for good!

This is one of the best shows to come along in a long time. The entire cast is superb.
Change the time and day if you have to , but keep this show on. Use some common sense and listen to the viewers. Please let Trauma remain on T.V.

Way to go NBC. You did it again. Cancelled another good one. I love this show. It’s just like others said….you have to give it a few episodes to learn the characters. 4 or 5 episodes……especially against pennant playoffs, World Series and Dancing with the Stars is not a fair representation of true ratings. I can’t believe that NBC executives are that clueless. I guess now you will move the night around so there is no chance of a follo0wing. Wake up…..change your mind. I wish another network would pick it up. Also, I agree with everyone about Leno too.

nbc, i’m really disappointed in you, i CAN NOT believe they are canceling a great show! its probably one of the best shows on tv right now…it took me a few episodes to warm up to it but now i’m hooked! …please give people a chance! there’s great cast, scenes and its awesome that its actually shot out in the streets and not in a studio.

btw, can you cancel leno while youre at it and put law and order back in a better time slot instead of friday nights? wth was up with that too? you’re sidelining all the best shows that’s why your ratings suck!

It’s a shame. It’s a big difference when scenarios are shot on the actual streets instead of within a studio set. YOUdon’t have to be a rocket scientist to see the difference. It also encourages people to WATCH the show when they see it filming on the city streets. I’ve been boycotting NBC for some months, and perhaps I’ll soon make it a few years after Trauma cancels. I must confess also that with the exception of the special effects, the script was lousy, but it has improved greatly – to cancel it is a big mistake. Maybe it’ll be ported over to another channel like CBS or ABC (or even Fox?) and it will be successful, then NBS will again be the network that has all the sleeper series and never makes any headway in the ratings? If that were to happen, then serves NBC right for not sticking it out. If I haven’t watched NBC for months except for Trauma, think of all the others who avoid NBC also…. but they don’t care. The brass at NBC don’t care because they are so high now that they have lost touch with their past audiences till they go the way o the big car companies…. but nobody will be there to bail out NBC. A deserving death of NBC….

This is one of the best shows on TV today. If NBC wants to keep people watching they better keep this on. There aren’t many shows my wife and I agree on to watch together and this is one of them. San Francisco is a great location to have it in and that real street locations make it even more real to us who grew up in “The City”. Remember “There may be no Heven, but there is San Francisco”. Keep this show and let it grow. Leno or Trauma ? I’ll take Trauma.

I love Trauma!! Way to go NBC-you are truly a bunch of idiots. You will never have a quality show that requires any character development. And to the person who ragged on those of us over 50-I think putting Leno on every night at 10 is ridiculous and have NEVER watched it. I am sick to death of Law and Order in all its forms. I hate reality TV. And I hope NBC wises up (fat chance) and saves Trauma. Or maybe some other, smarter network will pick it up. What do you think TNT? Trauma is clearly better than Southland! Oh, and do these networks not realize that we RARELY watch our TV shows live anymore? I tape everything on the DVR and watch it when I am in the mood.

This show was like ER on steroids, and I loved their exploits, believable or not, and was growing to love the characters a great deal as well. I can’t believe NBC invests all this money into a show and then just pulls the plug. Here’s an idea: fire Conan, move Leno back to his old slot, and let us have our 9pm and 10pm shows back! Mercy and SVU are struggling, and they’re saying it’s Leno. So what are they going to do, cancel everything and keep that moron? Just so angry. So much time invested only to have it be for naught. Shame on you, NBC, and CANCEL LENO!!!

Terry, You were making such a frustrated but ultimately valid point. Then you lost it in a fit of pique. I don’t remember the episode of which you speak. (It may have been the new one on last night.) It is ideal if dramas convey realistic portrayals of professions depicted but a one hour network drama that actually compresses a story into about 43 minutes can’t hope to sustain audiences without some hyperbole. I’m not certain whether your observations are accurate because I either didn’t see the episode or just missed the scenes you describe. Having their work vehicles with them when they’ve gone out to unwind after duty seems inappropriate. Since you sound like an Emergency Medical Technician, who has trained for two years to do this job, it remains a pity that you refer to saving people as saving their b—s. Compassion and caring for the people served by those in and around the medical profession seem sadly lacking because the educational programs don’t include sufficient training in addressing the emotional needs of patients. Ultimately, maybe this is just you letting off steam. I have a number of health issues and have been a passenger in an EMT ambulance four times. In Manhattan, San Francisco and Iowa. Very different cities. The technicians who took care of me were all — without exception — professional, kind, supportive and considerate. And, to my admittedly patient’s eye, the EMT folks depicted on “Trauma” have been very sensitive with their patients. People in professions depicted in movies or TV dramas often expect letter perfect portrayals of their work and drama is meant to entertain and well as inform. Perhaps you are asking too much.

“EMT’s being upset about it’s cancellation?? Is that why there is a FB page dedicated to EMT’s, Paramedics, and FireFighters that oppose a show that showcases our profession as a bunch of renegade, cowboys running around acting like prepubescent teenagers. One episode ended with the crews sitting around drinking beer at the beach, then driving the ambulances home… The same episode showed a the cowboy flight medic give a sedative to a patient then swagger away like Elvis in a flight suit…… I, as with many, are happy to see it go.. The public actually believes this crap, and it is an insult to us that spend 2 years in school, then countless hours in continuing education in order to save your butts…….

This was a wonderful show. I can’t believe that NBC would cancel such a great show. It just proves to me that NBC executives don’t know their you know what from a hole in the ground. I guess that they would rather spend their money on a cheap reality show than to sink their money into a quality production.

With San Francisco as a backdrop, it was the perfect setting for the show.

I was beginning to think NBC was finally getting to a season with some good shows…
I’ve been enjoying Trauma, enjoying the character development, looking forward to it each week. Then I see NBC’s infinite wisdom cancels another great show! They wouldn’t know a good show if it bit them in the ASS!!! Maybe they will put some stupid mindless dribble on in its place. I say each season that if something is going to be on NBC there is not much point in watching it, as they will cancel it.
Having been in San Francisco, I enjoyed seeing and hearing about places I had been to, so filming it there was pretty cool.
NBC, Please don’t cancel this show… Maybe its time to move Leno back to 11:30, and give Konan the boot.!

It’s too bad that NBC is already pulling the plug on a show this good. I know their programming time is limited due to the five hours a week dedicated to Leno (that was a stupid decision, and I like Leno). But they could attempt to grow the audience for a solid show like this instead of continuing to show reality trash – when is the next Apprentice anyway?

NBC – please reconsider the decision to cancel Trauma, or at least move it to another night to see if the audience can grow. Get rid of some of those spare comedies like P&R instead.

The last medical show that I liked, and was able to watch for more than one season was Chicago Hope. The popular ones on now have too much bed hopping for my liking. Now with this, and Three Rivers being canceled I`m back to zero again!

NBC is unbelievable…this show is good, no great…Cliff Curtis (had no idea he was a Zealander, not that it matters) is FANTASTIC, I just saw him in Sunshine, though a small role, and also in Whale Rider…he is HOT HOT HOT…also the realization that while these characters work with each other and will risk their lives for them and GQ public is a 1/4 of what I see…the relationships that are building and the sanity for some that are at the breaking point, but we haven’t yet seen. Also it has Jamey Sheridan, a HUGE name, talent, HOT HOT man, who has the range along with Cliff Curtis to take this show and mold it. NBC cancelled Southland, not my cup of tea, but TNT knew it was critically acclaimed and that it was going somewhere. NBC STOP THE INSANITY…I MEAN REALLY, YOU ACT LIKE NO ONE IS RUNNING THE ASYLUM. But what gets me most of all is that NBC Universal, who owns the USA Network, seems to be fully staffed there on Rockefeller Plaza….they have Monk (though final season, AFTER 7 of them), BURN NOTICE (HOT HOT and so funny, Jeffrey and Bruce are Emmy worthy), Psych (though I don’t see the appeal, but still going strong!), the all new Royal Pains (which I thought would be short sighted and contrived is actually really good) Mark Feuerstein found his niche and Paulo Constanzo has great comedic timing. Now they’ve added White Collar, with the dreamy Matt Bomer and sexy Tim Dekay…really good show guys..a duo that works like that in Castle and Bones…plot and comedic creativity. Everytime I watch one of these shows on USA, I wonder why they aren’t on main street broadcasting, I know for a fact their talented actors aren’t getting the credit they deserve come emmy time. So why does an Ex-Airline Payroll/Budget Manager know this, and obviously the other fans here…and NBC is still scratching it’s preverbial ‘butts’…with dumbed down reality TV… move biggest loser to the summer where it belongs!!!…and guys you know you totally screwed yourselves when you had to BEG, BEG people….to keep Jay Leno on the network so the 50 and older crowd would still show up….but their getting older and bedtime is gonna come sooner than 10pm EST…and the new 50 year olds will be …Jay Leno..WHY?….Move him to a Sunday Talk/Variety show like the old days…people what that stuff still….so stop back peddling and move forward…USA is doing it EVERY season…EVERY season….If you don’t have the balls to let it Trauma live out it’s freshman year on NBC so we can move forward with them…move them to USA and cut down on the Law and Order terminal reruns and marathons….hell bring back the DEADZONE…that still has plenty of good story, new story that could be written….

Well, it may have “sucked”, depending on what you want and how many episodes you were willing to watch, but after the Halloween episode, it was clear that it started to roll. It started to get a little personal and had some touching moments. It really should get a chance to either take off and soar, or prove that it should be cancelled.

I really like this show, see thats the problem with big corporations and money…they dont want you to see how “real” people make a honest living by acctually working for there money and what they went to school for(I know they are paid actors but what about the real EMTs)…no they’d rather just waste time and MONEY of course and cancel it to put something that no one will really be interested in watching like a stupid reality show where you really dont have to do anything to WIN a large sum of cash and you are also paid while you are on the show.
Its really stupid and asinine of them to get rid of Trauma but because I dont make over $300,000 a year or more I dont have an opinion.

This is nothing new for NBC. They’ve cancelled every show I’ve watched for the last 10 years, only to replace them with more reality shows (there is NO REALITY involved with ANY of them!!!), Law and Order, or Dateline! Take “Medium” for example. NBC cancelled that show (which had some decent ratings), and it was picked up by CBS, where it’s doing GREAT in the ratings! Another bone-head move by their network bigwigs!
IMO, the network needs to replace their programming director! NBC now stands for “Nothing But Crap”!!!!! (or “Nothing But Cancellations”, if you prefer!)

I left San Francisco in 2005 after 18 years for personal reasons, largely economic. I have dreamt about returning to spend the remainder of my retirement. Not a great idea since I gave up a fairly affordable rent-controlled apartment. What does this have to do with the program, “Trauma?” Nothing came remotely close to reminding me of the beauty and desirability of The City as this series. Despite its high octane pyrotechnics, it lavished money on a true portrait of San Francisco. By the fifth episode, “Masquerade,” the character development was coming alive and I really felt connected. The “Masquerade” episode belonged to actor Kevin Rankin as paramedic “Tyler” and his beautifully acted “coming out” scene was a powerful and emotional moment for him as an actor and for me as a viewer.. For anyone who lives in San Francisco or wishes they did (or wants to find a way back), this program offered production values akin to all the New York-based shows. “Trauma” needed/needs a full season (22 episodes) to find its audience, to find all the people who call San Francisco their special place because they live there, have visited The City or, like me, hope to return. How many times have I committed myself to a drama only to see it fail because a network will not invest the money and time needed for success? This cancellation makes me sadder than most because of my passion for San Francisco. NBC needs to rethink its cost-saving measures vis-a-vis actions like the new and more of the same Jay Leno Show. If a way can be found to save “Trauma,” it should happen.
