Troupe Stars: ABC Cancels New Military Singing Competition

ABC TV show cancelledThese days, it’s not unusual for a network to cancel a TV show after only a couple of episodes. ABC has reportedly cancelled Troupe Stars before the series even aired.

Troupe Stars was picked up by ABC last September and was billed as a singing competition for current and former soldiers. Produced by 5 Streams Global Entertainment, eight episodes were being created. While the US military agreed to let their military personnel participate, the government wasn’t actually involved in the series.

The show was expected to debut on Saturday, June 15th, once Bet on Your Baby had completed its Saturdays at 8pm run.

That won’t be happening now and there was no reason given for the decision to nix the series.

What do you think? Would you have watched Troupe Stars? Do you think it would have been a success?

They knew they’d have to cancel it after 2 extremely low rated episodes so they canceled before it cost them money.
