True Blood: Season Six Premieres June 16th

True Blood season sixHBO has announced that the sixth season of True Blood will kick off on Sunday, June 16th, at 9pm. The cable channel renewed their top series back in July with an order for 10 new episodes.

Here’s the short-but-sweet press release:

The debut date for the sixth season of the hit HBO series TRUE BLOOD has been confirmed.

The ten-episode season of TRUE BLOOD kicks off SUNDAY, JUNE 16 at (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). Based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, this Emmy(R)-nominated hit drama series was created by Alan Ball, creator of HBO’s Emmy(R)-winning series “Six Feet Under.” The show follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard).

Most certainly will be watching it! And can’t wait for the season to be put to disc. And as for how long it should run? This series is for this generation, like Dallas was for the 80’s. Please do not ever cancel True Blood, it is as addictive as the CSI sets of series; and people always want to see what is going to happen next; and who is going to make surprise appearances or changes. It is for me, like sitting on the edge of my chair; waiting, wondering, and yes a little bit of drooling over the sexy vampires and other men of the series; and then falling off my chair when someone does something completely different than what I thought would happen. Very addictive series to a lot of people. It needs to stay renewed at least for 12 seasons, please.

It should go on for nine seasons, it’ll set a record, if Curb your Enthusiasm doesn’t get renewed. The show has been great so far, and I never know what’s coming next. With it being on HBO, it’s one hell of a show.
