if anything TNT could have promoted the show more. I would not have even known about the show had I not been looking for something on iTunes.

Then I finally thought,”Hey, why not go on the ‘net and try to find out what’s going on.”

As you can probably tell, I don’t go on-line very often.

Anyway, we both really enjoyed that show & looked forward to viewing it each week.
I have to agree with previous posts, they weren’t given enough time to prove themselves.

For the record we do watch “Mad Men” regularly too.

Maybe “They” will read enough of these posts & bring it back.

I feel empty, thanks a lot TNT.

Not because I’m mad at TNT for canceling my favorite show, “TRUST ME,” but because it was the only show on TNT that I ever watched.

Sure, I saw one or two other shows here and there, but TNT never kept my interest with any other show. So TNT earned some major cool points with the release of the “TRUST ME” series. Then, they lost those points by giving up on the show too soon.

There was NOTHING else on TNT or any other network that came close to having the wit, speed, angle, and character that “TRUST ME” possessed. Never will be.

I work in TV and to my shame, on a show I’m to embarrassed to state here. This show gave me new inspiration. Most of the writers on my team are hacks, but we’re taking in the numbers. At least TRUST ME had true story. The cast was FANTASTIC.

And as a Bonus My Agency (Momentum) won the Rolling Rock pitch in one of the last episodes. And it was based on the campaign we had actually produced.

Now, apply that to a television audience. Programs that are approached purely from the perspective of ratings are looking at that which remains. However, in order to determine the whole audience, one has to look at that part which seems lost.

If Program A is a “big hit”, a strong repeater season after season (like a CSI program), then that which remains will remain somewhat of a constant and there is NO SENSE trying to compete with that program. However, there is still an audience who has little to no interest in that program, and they are lost to that program. However, if they begin to gather to an alternative, then they, in turn, become their own solid, their own audience. If there is nothing to gather to, then they are lost to erosion.

Those of us who really enjoyed Trust Me have drifted on, TNT. You lost us.

I don’t think it was promoted well. Maybe it would have done better if it had been on earlier in the evening.

I work in advertising–have for several years–and I’m astounded at how bad the writing was. The characters were cliche, almost cartoonish. The concepts/campaigns they came up with were laughable. And storyline was sophomoric–had my partner been bumped to CD, I would’ve been thrilled for him. Why? Because I was his partner and our ideas would then have a chance.

I’m sure some people will miss this show. I sincerely doubt too many of them work in advertising.
