To no surprise, ABC’s No Ordinary Family dropped to a new series low for the freshman TV series’ penultimate episode. Barring some “divine intervention” on the part of the network, the April 5th installment will be the show’s last.

sigh………
I really did like this show a lot, and this is coming from someone who literally refuses to watch tv. It had some really nice elements and it was just the right mix of family drama and cool effects. I remember getting chills when Daphne found out about Joshua and he cornered her and wiped her memory. Feeling the warmth when they finally got to sit around the table and have that family dinner after a long day of action for everyone. That was the stuff that made me want track down episodes week after week.
Recently, though, it has been getting a little too cliche and slightly lame. I think when the ratings started dropping they had a huddle to try and decide how to spice it up to win back the viewers, but I feel like they waited too long and were a little desperate with the concepts. Katie’s spontaneous pregnancy is one thing, but there was like a week and suddenly she’s showing and moving in George…none of that was explained. Where did the months go? In all that time, she only went to the OB/GYN once? Last time we saw Joshua, he was on a bus….now he’s in a cell…which is apparently where they keep people with no powers whom they want to punish. Dr King has powers? Cancer? Super speed?
They want to wrap up loose ends because they’re getting cancelled, I get it, but I just feel like all sense left the show back at the beginning of 2011. The way it is now, I kind of am fine to let it go. Sad times…
DONT CUT NO ORDINARY FAMILY!!!! It’s an amazing show and it never became stupid. Almost everything about is original. They’ve added the necessary plots and turns to make the show last at least a 5 year arch (which would be amazing might I add). No Ordinary Family, sadly, is aired the same time as Glee, so it’s no surprise that the show is at risk of cancellation. Moving the show to Saturday also doesn’t help when no one is informed of it. All the poor choices ABC is making is obviously intent on the show’s cancellation. The show has nothing to do with that. If ABC got its head out of rectal defilade and placed the show on a day, such as Wednesday where there are no competing shows (i think), then the viewer problem would most definitely go away. So please ABC, don’t cancel the show. It’s original and I can’t help but look forward to it every Tuesday.
I like No Ordinary Family!!! But now the story has become stupid, like it’s a bad horror show. It started out great with a good story, then I guess ABC had to revamp it and it became stupid and silly. Not surprised that it got cancelled!
