Undercovers: Petition to Continue the Cancelled TV Show

Undercovers petitionNBC had a lot of hope for their new J.J. Abrams series, Undercovers. Unfortunately, it didn’t measure up and it has been cancelled. Despite the fact that they ordered four additional scripts, the story will end after 13 episodes.

What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for NBC is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, it’s not.

However, if you like Undercovers and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.

  1. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on NBC.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be directly counted. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
  1. Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.
  1. Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
  1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. You can use this form or, even better, write via snail-mail to: Mr. Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC, 3000 W. Alameda, Burbank, CA 91523, RE: Undercovers
  1. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).

We, the undersigned, enjoy watching Undercovers on the NBC network. The series has great characters and storylines, just the right mixture of action, drama, and comedy.

Please find a way to keep Undercovers on the air. We are devoted viewers who will continue to watch the program, encourage others to do the same, and will support the series’ advertisers as well. Please keep it going, either on NBC or, if necessary, on another NBC-related channel. If that’s not possible, please find a way to wrap up the story.

    Undercovers was a wonderful show and I could not wait to watch every week. I was telling everyone I knew to watch the show and then it just was gone. The actors were awesome, the plots were complex and exciting. PLEASE hear us and bring it back...

    Hi nbc viewers nbc does not care what you like.there not here for that.they will do what you dont like and skip what you do just for that power trip.stop watching they have nothing good anyways now.

    THE SHOW WAS EXCELLENT. WHY CANCELLED? YOU NEED TO BRING THIS BACK ON THE AIR I AM WILL BE BET THAT IF THE LEAD TEAM WAS WHITE IT WOULD BE ON RUNNING ON DIFFERENT NIGHT WITH COVERT AFFAIRS AN ALL WHITE TEAM. I AM GUESSING IT IS OK FOR A WHITE WOMAN TO RUN AROUND THE WORLD AND A BLIND WHITE MAN. BUT A TEAM SUCH AS THE UNDERCOVER ACTORS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.

    I loved this show! I loved the characters. I am a fan of JJ Abrams since Alias! That is is why I initially watched the show. Once I watched I was hooked. I like the chemistry between the husband and wife. The way the secrets played out was great. I like the interaction with the other co-stars even a grumpy Gerald McRaney. :-)

    This was a great show! The storyline was beginning to develop. The show just needed time to develop it's fan base. I was definitely a fan. I was wondering where it had gone and waiting for the next installments. Please do not cancel it.

    you cant just stop life unexoected i love it and just because you lose viewers doesnt mean you should stop filming and stop the show. All of my friends and me would sit on my couch and just sit there and watch it over and over because we lover it so much. We would sit there on the couch and on the floor watching shows all night cause i would record them. And sometimes we sat there till 2 and 3 in the morrning watching all the episodes. And sometimes we would wathc episodes over 2 and 3 times. Like the one where bug comes back a proposed to lux. We would just sit there and rewind it over and over. My mom said that we were gona break it if we kept doing it. And the very first episode. And the one where rayn proposed to kate. And how she throght a remote at his head the first time. We just all love watching the show and we still do. We watch them on netflix. And when we found out that you were not doing season 3. We were all upset. So please dont stop doing the show cause we love it to much for you to stop it.

    this never stood a chance. the network kept changing the nights and never on consistant and when we looked for it, it was on a different day and then when it got on regularly it was then cancelled. every time there is something worth watching they take it off the aire. do us a big favor and put it back on and cancel some of the dumb shows nobody wants to see that seems to stay on forever

    I absolutely loved this show. I recorded every episode and vowed to never miss a week. Today I was going through my DVR to ensure all my shows were coded and I couldn't find my Undercovers. *BBM Sadface* To Whomever has the control over this show, may I at least see the last few episodes? I would wish for a few more Seasons but would settle for at least one more full Season along with the last few episodes that are scheduled to be shelfed.

    My husband & I absolutely loved Undercovers, and made sure we never missed an episode. It it was humorous, exciting, sexy & smart. Even better, it portrayed well-educated & worldly african-americans. As caucasian aunt & uncle of mixed-race, wonderful teenagers, we felt encouraged to see an offering like Undercovers on a major tv network! We want all races to understand that all opportunities (education, career, lifestyle) can/should be available to everyone. More diversity in major network series, in leading roles, can help spread that message.
