Unforgettable seems to be one of those shows that just won’t stay cancelled. Deadline is reporting that A&E is finalizing a deal to save the twice-cancelled series from the grim reaper with a fourth season of 13 episodes.
The series was cancelled (for the second time) the series quite awhile ago but Sony has been working to find a new home for the crime drama.
The contracts with the cast have all expired but at least Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh are expected to be back. No word yet on the other castmembers. Series creators John Bellucci and Ed Redlich (as executive producers) will return along with Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.
Unforgettable did skew older on CBS so the pick-up by A&E does seems like a bit of a surprise since they cancelled Longmire for attracting an older audience. The difference between the two is said to be the licensing fees.
Both are produced by outside studios. Longmire was quite expensive for the cable channel (they supposedly lost money on the deal) while Unforgettable is not. The latter does quite well internationally which has allowed Sony to keep the fees down and profitable.
Sony has a history of fighting to keep cancelled shows alive and has found new homes for Community, Damages, and Drop Dead Diva.
No word on when the fourth season of Unforgettable will be produced but an official announcement is expected once the deal is sealed.
What do you think? Are you glad that Unforgettable is being revived again? Will you be watching season four?
like unforgettable loved longmire. older audiences are better!
Longtime was a good show. A lot of people around here liked it.
I’m glad A+E will have at least one year of Unforgettable. I’m also hoping for more !
love Unforgettable but love Longmire too ..sorry not sure why you think the older set is not worth pleasing we are the ones spending the money on the stuff you advertise…we might be older but are still the largest group …the boomers aren’t dead yet….We are the loyal ones …networks keep this up until we all go net flix …and have you removed from our cable provider…..
my wife and i liked the very much. when will a&e start the series?
I am very glad that A&E pick up UNFORGIVEABLE. I so unhappy when they canclled the show. This one of my favorite show. I will be watching for it on A&E. Cant wait for it to air.
I really hope that it comes back as it was one of the best shows ever. Great characters and story lines. Please bring it back soon
So happy and excited that A&E is picking this show up! I love, love, love this show!! It’s CBS’ loss on this one. CBS should be called the CSI Broadcasting Station or NCIS Broadcasting Station, because that’s all that’s left on their channel. The only thing they have going for them is The Big Bang Theory and Elementary. Once these shows are done, it’s bye-bye CBS for me. I love the chemistry between Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh. Going to keep my eyes and ears open for when it premieres on A&E! Score a huge win for A&E!!
Hope it will continue.it’s a great series
So excited, Love… Love… Love this show. Thank you Sony for shopping it around and finding a new home, A&E should be a good fit, and maybe it will finally get the audience it deserves, and the constant cancelling can be stopped. I really love they have Jane Curtin on the show, love her work.
Yes, My husband and I enjoyed this show and will look forward to watching it on A&E. I am very disappointed though that Longmire will not be back.
Love Unforgettable. Will try and watch for return on A&E
Glad it is coming back! We loved it!
Glad it’s being renewed.
I love this show and I love Poppy Montgomery. Besides being a gorgeous redhead, she is also one of my favorite actresses. I am glad that A&E is picking it up cause I watch this channel all the time. Storage wars, shipping wars, Criminal minds, etc. I look forward to watching this one to with Poppy playing the lead. Please notify my email if the deal is made with A&E so I know when to watch. Maybe A&E could run a marathon like they do Criminal minds. Thanks. Chris H. Eades
Wife are really enjoyed the show, hope it returns…!!
