V: Petition to Save the ABC TV Show from Cancellation

V TV showThe aliens from the ABC TV show, V, have come to Earth for nefarious reasons. The resistance needs all the help they can get to defeat them and it appears the TV series needs help as well. If the ratings keep falling and people don’t remember to watch when it comes back from its long hiatus, the show will certainly be cancelled.

What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for ABC is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, it’s not.

However, if you like V and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.

  1. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on ABC.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be directly counted. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
  1. Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested or might help bring former viewers back.
  1. Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
  1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. You can use this form or, even better, write via “snail-mail” to: Mr. Stephen McPherson, Chairman, ABC, 500 S. Buena Vista Street, Burbank, CA 91521, RE: V
  1. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).

    i was start to watch V until season 2 i can't find the season 3 our channal here in greece start to put v but they cancel it you put a serial why you put it if you don't have a end don't put it i am very ungry i can't wacht season 3 and i like the serial

    Please bring back V the series it was huge in the 80's and the new series is very good and needs a massive start to series 3 to bring in the fan base that is there it is huge in Europe please bring it back it just needs to be structured better with a better advertisement base bringing in the old series as ads it will work Abc bring it back
