The network giveth and the network taketh away. FOX recently announced that it was pulling the struggling serial drama Vanished from its schedule for the next few weeks of sweeps. The upside for fans was that it was scheduled to return on December 1st. Not anymore.
FOX has officially cancelled Vanished and it won’t be returning to primetime at all. The series will be replaced by final episodes of Justice, another freshman drama that’s been cancelled.
The four remaining Vanished episodes (the last of which is called the “series finale”) will be shown online. A new segment will be available each Friday, the same day that NBC is posting new Kidnapped episodes. You can see the latest episode (episode #9, “The Cell”) right now by visiting FOX’s Vanished page on MySpace. Three episodes will be kept up at a time and the series finale will be posted online on Friday, December 8th.
There’s no word if Vanished will eventually appear on DVD.

I thinks its a simple case of “they ran out of Great ideas” ergo it had t stop ! Even great story tellers run out of stories or fail t keep up.
I was hoping that one day fox would change it’s mind and bring vanished back, but it looks they won’t. So I’ll tell you what, This is one less person that will be watching anything of fox.

vanished was a fantastic show!.i enjoyed every bit of it.Fox…am begging you guys please…please we need more.Please give the show one more chance.
Why is everyone so angry!!We pay for the privellge to watch,do the network exec’s think that gives us the viewers rights.NO.While in their ivory towers counting the pennies maybe someone could come up for air every so often and use a little common sense. Vanished isn’t the first but if FOX pulled their finger out, it could be the last. Just a thought -give the people what they want(not what you want)!!!!!
Who actually saw the last episode. I tried the entire month of December? Also I enjoyed “Justice”, it seems like a precurser to “Shark”.

I’m boycotting Fox as well, except for Family Guy, and the Simpsons.
