Warehouse 13: Syfy TV Series to Be Renewed for Season Three

Warehouse 13We’ve been hearing rumors for quite awhile that Warehouse 13 would be renewed for a third season. THR now reports that it is indeed happening.

Warehouse 13 follows the story of two Secret Service agents (Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly) who’ve saved the President’s life. They are reassigned to Warehouse 13, a super-secret government storage area in South Dakota that holds supernatural objects, mysterious relics, and strange artifacts. Others in the cast are Saul Rubinek, Genelle Williams, CCH Pounder, Simon Reynolds, and Allison Scagliotti.

A renewal for the Syfy series doesn’t come as a surprise since it’s been very popular for the cable channel. Warehouse 13 debuted back in July of 2009 with a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.51 million viewers. The ratings for subsequent episodes fell off but the 11 episode season still averaged a 0.9 rating in the demo and 3.39 million viewers each week.

The show was renewed and returned for a second season of 12 episodes this past summer. Year two finished airing a couple weeks ago and the season averaged a 0.8 rating in the demo and 2.5 million viewers.

Now, Warehouse 13 will be returning for a third year. It’s gotten a 13 episode order this time around, its biggest one to date. No word on when they’ll air but another summer run is likely.

Syfy programming chief Mark Stern said, “Jack Kenny’s superlative leadership and the incredible talent of his cast and crew delivered an outstanding second season of Warehouse 13… We’re excited to see this successful series return next year and to developing our next hit with Jack.”

What do you think? Are you glad to hear Warehouse 13 is coming back for season three? Anything you’d like to see happen?

I agree with Rick. I loved the crossover w/Eureka too. Hey…I can’t find where anyone is asking about Myka. She did walk out on the last show. I take it, they WILL bring her BACK!!!!!!?

I am glad to hear that this show was not canceled. There have been many good shows come and go over the years and very few have kept my attention. I hope that they bring mack Myka..Would like to see that they continue with the love story between Myka and Pete..Loved the crossover between Wherehouse 13 and Eureka :o)…Would like to see a little more of that in the future..Would also like to see Claudia and Fargo have little something with the crossover story lines some how..Keep up the good work with these two shows..Just don’t cancel them..

I was ecstatic to hear W13 is returning. It seemed for awhile the only thing I enjoyed on TV were movies. Glad to know that one of the few series I enjoy is still going to be around.
Thanks to whomever is responsible.

I really like this show! Being from south dakota there is one thing that does not ring true. They are located on the edge of the badlands? If so it is pretty baron there and would not be the scenery as seen in the pilot and I was also amused at the fact that cch pounder was on jeopardy and the category was south dakota and she failed miserably in the category! If you want to portray a show in a certain region then the producers should get the facts and do it right!

So glad to hear it. Wish we could get a “real” season but 13 is better than zero. Keep it going!

It is a great show, and I just wish we had it for more than 13 weeks a year. Nine months without new episodes is brutal. I would like more Claudia and some story arcs that are a little deeper than just a bit every fourth episode. Season 2 would have been much better if HG Wells was around a lot more causing some of the disruption that was promised in her first episode appearance.
