We Are Men, Agents of SHIELD, Fosters and New Season Status: TV Series Finale Podcast #52

tv series finale podcast 52We Are Men has been cancelled after two episodes on CBS but it’s good news for Mike & Molly fans. ABC has given Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD a full season but will it be renewed for a second season? There’s more Shark Tank on the way and ABC is showing some faith in new sitcoms The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife.

HBO has announced the return of Girls and the premiere of Looking. IFC has renewed their comedy series Comedy Bang! Bang! for a third season. There’s a lot more Teen Wolf on the way for MTV — plus a new companion series called Wolf Watch. It was a huge start for The Walking Dead.

FOX hasn’t given up on new sitcoms Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Dads but has pulled the plug on a comedy that hasn’t even aired yet — Us & Them with Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel.

The CW has a good feeling about their three new dramas — The Originals, The Tomorrow People, and Reign. The Fosters will be back with lots more new episodes on ABC Family and it looks like House of Cards won’t have a third season on Netflix.

All this plus, an update on how the current TV shows are doing on the five networks — ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX, and NBC. Tune in!

I disagree completely with DONNA… Brooklyn nine nine is hilarious and Dads is juuuust awful… you should be watching MOM instead!
And what took them so long to bring back Mike & Molly? Contract negotiations so she could get more money?

No, they were trying to use the momentum of the new season to launch two new Monday night sitcoms. Hasn’t worked out very well.

There are many of us who love the Betrayal show. Please….don’t cancel it. I have written
to abc..and have received replies. The comments I send go to the audience relations dept at abc.
People just have to write in…go to feedback at the bottom of the shows page…and write in. The comment in the new TV Guide is most unfair ..what they said about the show.
I do want to know who killed Lou..and why Sara was shot.

S.H.I.E.L.D. had a good pilot, but the second episode was better… maybe even the best to date. But my friends and my dad and I all watch every episode every with baited breath, excitedly waiting for every episode to premiere and never disappointed after it’s done. It’s a fun show for us, especially the Marvel fans among us, but not exclusively so. It’s appointment television the likes of which I haven’t seen in years. Gotta say that I love The Walking Dead, too, and that’s my other event television for the week.

So anyway, if S.H.I.E.L.D. fails, I’ll blame the taste of the majority of America and/or ABC execs (I’ve heard a rumor they’re trying to get SHIELD to be more middle-aged women-appealing, the same thing that killed Ordinary Family), not the producers or the writers. Of course, there’s only been four episodes; the show may get worse in quality from here on out, who knows?
