That was the Finale ? I thought I had Missed a few Episodes, You Fast Forwarded 10 Years, Really ? You ended a Great show on a Sour Note. There needs to be a rewind of the last 10 years in a Flashback and Bring WEEDS back for the Magical Season Numbers 9 …. It was Obvious the Show was being Cancelled when Season 7 was Aired with the Characters having reoccurring Rolls and their Own Shows on Prime Time But, Really that’s how You Ended Weeds.

The series may have ended on a ratings high, but the finale was not on a high, I was really disappointed with the ending. My theory is that half of the last season was shot by time Showtime canceled it, so the writers didn’t have a lot of time to write a good ending. Overall, it was still a very good series despite people liking it less and less as seasons went by. I would give the series a 8.5 out of 10. It was funny, had drama and even if you’ve nevvr even smoked a cigarette or ever plan to, you’ll find it entertaining, so buy the DVDs/Blu rays or watch it on Netflix.

Technically, the show WAS cancelled. Showtime gets a renewal option every season and they chose not to renew the series. The series is coming to a close but it was not the decision of the creator or its stars. It’s due to Showtime getting new management. There is an article and interview with Kohan where she explicitly says that it’s because of corporate background work that the show isn’t being renewed.

Technically the show was not actually cancelled. The creator Jenji Kohan said herself that it was coming to an end. I’m glad they are ending it on a high note. The series had quite the dip beyond season 3 and they are fixing it. Finally. SHOwtime has not cut off the series, it is not even having a rushed ending. It is a natural finish
