The alphabet network is bringing back their Wipeout reality competition for season five. ABC has announced that the TV series has been renewed for a fifth season which will include both winter and summer episodes.
In addition, MTV veteran Vanessa Minnillo is taking over for Jill Wagner and the production team will be using some new camera technology which will allow for more closeups of contestant slips, falls, and blunders.
Here’s the press release from ABC:

the new co-hot’s name is Vanessa LaChe, not Minillo.

Jill will be missed.
I like the game show. With the new camera, I’m sure Wipeout would be more attracted many viewers
I like “Wipeout”, but I’m not sure it will be as good without Jill! Why won’t she be on in the winter – does anybody know?
I’m sorry, but Wipeout is NOT a reality show. It’s a game show. There’s a world of difference.
