James Patterson’s books are great–obviously, all his books are Best Sellers because he is a great story teller with very interesting concepts. I was really excited when I saw that ABC started the “Women’s Murder Club” TV show. Unfortunately, I was totally disappointed in the first episode I saw. The production looked like a bunch of young amateures “trying” to be creative. Watching the show was actually annoying……with the constant switching of scene. I truly believe that was the turn off for the viewers…. certainly not the material or acting! The super filming–switching from one scene to another is great for teenyboopers who are into videos, not a Friday night viewer.

Yeah, so what—I am proudly in the over 18-49 years demographic group and enjoy the Women’s Murder Club. My 86 year old MOM and I are James Patterson fans and he just can’t write fast enough for us. We can’t believe that ABC cancelled this show. We DVRed the episodes and keep watching them over and over. It’s no wonder we spend a lot of time watching marathons of every CSI, NCIS, and the Law and Orders. There is nothing on ABC, CBS, or NBC worth our time watching. As for the newer shows only Castle and The Mentalist are holding our attention span along with new episodes of all the CSIs, NCISs and of course the LAW AND ORDERs. Yes the Networks are the new “banking executives” hope they do not eventually ask for bailouts. It is so nice to know that the powers that be do not value the opinions of people over 49–because we do have power–who do they think gives the money to the 18-49 set so these youngsters can purchase what they see on TV,etc. Lets start standing up and making our opinions heard. Really ABC what were you guys thinking by cancelling WMC????????

I loved this series and I still do. I got all the books to the Women’s Murder Club. I don’t get why ABC cancelled the show. It was great maybe because some people don’t know a great show when they see one. They should of gave it a chance to let it grow. Lindsay Boxer, the character Angie Harmon played started to grow on me at the last episode about the Kiss Me Not killer. I was mad when they cancelled, I was so looking foward for another season. They disappointed many fans when they announced the cancelation.

I have grown to love this series. It takes a while for most characters to “grow” on the viewers
and so much stake is placed on numbers watching and advertising $’s that this fact gets lost.
Women’s Murder Club deserved better from ABC and I believe we did, too.
Angie Harmon, commiserations, you are a dynamic force both in Law & Order, and now WMC. I hope we get the chance to see you again, soon.

I am still upset that the Women’s Murder Club was canceled. What a great show!! Why would ABC think that we want to watch shows like Dating in the Dark, Wipeout, Supernanny, etc!? I am still hoping that they will reconsider their decision and bring it back. As it is now, there’s not a whole lot worth watching on ABC!

It was horrible that ABC cancled WMC. I LOVE the books by James Patterson, so naturally, when i heard there was a show based on them, i tuned in… I watched every single episode, WMC replaced FRIENDS as my fave tv show. It is bcs of Lt. Lindsey Boxer that I am determined to become a Lt. in Homocide. ABC needs to get a clue and not cancel great shows…. that really ticked me off. i no longer watch anything on ABC, and won’t until they get WMC back on. they have lost my viewing support forever.

I was checking to see when WMC was going to get started again, and alas…it’s cancelled! That’s truly a shame! I really enjoyed the series and thought that they cast good actors for the characters from the WMC book series by James Patterson, even Angie Harmon as Lindsay Boxer, and especially her TV-ex, Rob Estes as Tom Logan (I always liked him in that detective series from the 90’s, Silk Stalkings). FYI, “the adorable blonde” is not Yuki, but is Jill from the earlier books. It’s too bad ABC has seen fit to cancel a lot of shows recently, like Eli Stone, Life on Mars and Kyle X/Y (ABC family)…these were 3 of 4 shows I watched regularly from ABC. Other than these, I’m not into any others. Reality shows are definitely NOT my thing. Wish you could bring some of these back!

I did not like the series. I thought Angie Harmon was totally miscast for the role of Lindsay – for crying out loud her physical description alone was totally wrong. Yuki the attorney in the books (Asian decent) is played by an adorable little blonde – Someone really took liberaties with the casting – I enjoyed the cast with the exception of Angie Harmon but for true Patterson fans, this was hard to handle.

I agree…I thought this was a very good show and I am in the 18 – 49 year age range they were looking for on viewership…but Friday night? I have a small child and my husband and I frequently get a babysitter on Friday night to relieve the work week stress…even Saturdays would be better for us or any other week night (like Wednesdays at 7 CST when no hour shows are on). I also agree with Donna…there are a lot of new shows that keep coming out that I’d like to see but they keep putting them in primetime spots where they compete against a lot of viewer favorites!

it made me impatient and i could wait till Fridays, when it was being showed.
I was so looking forward to the next season, but then it never aired. i could care less if it had bad ratings, everyone who did watch it LOVED it and couldnt wait to watch it to see what happened next. i wish it would air again, i love it just as much as grey’s anatomy

I am soooooo disappointed to hear the wmc has been cancelled! I agree with everyone here that is complaining about it. I really loved the show and was looking forward to the second season! Please bring it back. its about the only thing worth watching these days. I have to wonder how some of these shows ever get past season 1, especially all the stupid reality shows, but a perfectly normal and very good detective show gets cut. It just doesnt make sense to me and i think you should listen to every1 here and bring it back!

I really liked this show and just goggled it because I’ve been waiting for the new season to start. Am VERY disappointed it got cancelled and would love to see them bring it back. I’ll be more faithful in the future – I promise!
PS I agree with one comment about cutting back on the reality show – they’re junk food and we need some good staples in our TV diet too. I am very well have to turn off my TV and go buy some more of Pattersons books.

I think they need to get rid of some of the reality shows. I really enjoyed wmc &men in trees. I think the reason the numbers were down. Is know one knew what day or time these shows would just appear. Please keep this in mind.

wonder what you people concider a hit show . i dont watch too many shows on abc but this one i really liked you may have been able to give cbs a run for the money in the same time slot. this was a great combination of drama, mystery and great acting. when there are such shows as ghost whisperer on tv i really look for something more realistic and not just realitiy so this was worth watching. you made a big mistake cancelling wmc, guess i will stick with CBS you now have very little to pull me away

All i can say is huge mistake. Huge, huge mistake. Great book series, great show, and a great filling of cast . And i watch a lot of these types of shows. I was extremely dissappointed it will not return. I think the network should think of its lost viewership as a casualuty of the strike and not of the shows quality and give it another try. i have been wainting thinking that it may start in the new year……you still have a chance !! I am a little late getting into the show, i am overseas and i watch it on AFN but i cannot believe it was canceled…that was a really good show. I was extrememly disappointed when i found out that it was cancelled. The actors were great and so was the flow of the show. BRING IT BACK, please. Seriously if there was troubles with the show and it was taken off and then put back on, don’t you think that maybe it was a little difficult for people to find it again? like i said BRING IT BACK PLEASE!

What the heck is wrong with these people. The cast was outstanding. Should be given another chance on a different day and I bet your ratings are completely different.

Counldn’t agree more with the comments I read. Isn’t Friday night a tough night for ratings overall? I’l like to know the viewership on CBS and NBC on Fridays. Personally, we continue to make the channel move to TNT, USA, SHOWTIME,
etc., because those networks are really putting out some darn good show, along with 75% of our DVR recording !

Big fan of James Patterson, really enjoyed the show! Maybe it will come back as a mid-season filler. But, I just read Mr. Patterson’s “Michael Bennett” character from
Step on a Crack is in development for fa future show, along with the remake of

This show was SO much fun to watch. Shame on you ABC….. Whatever momentum this should could have had or gained back was derailed by the writer’s strike. bueno la verdad era uno de los programas mas vistos en argentina, ya que la historia se basaba no en tipicas novelas o miniseries en la que terminan todos bien. bueno parese que voy a tener que mirar los programas por internet ya que la ABC se dio a cancelarlo, bueno lo unico que espero que la serie de bones no sea cancelada por ellos, y que sigan haciendolo ya q el ultimo episodio quedo en incognita , ya que booth fue baleado y no se sabe si muere o no.
yo en mi opinion women’s clubs era un buen programa y es cuaquiera que lo hayan cancelado.

I have watched alot of show on abc, and yes I am tierd of every show that I start to get into you cancel it Womens Murder Club, Men In Trees, October Road, The Nine.I also watch alot of show on nbc at least they keep their shows on long enough so that you can enjoy them and get the closer that you need from a series.
I will continue to watch nbc. I will not watch a new series with abc afraid it will be cancel so why watch it an dget hooked.

I live in Australia, and my younger sister and I were on the edge of our seats every week after WMC, desperate to know what the next week would hold. It is a fantastic show, with a great cast, and has awesome potential. We have been hanging out waiting until the next season finally makes it to Australia. To find out that is it being cancelled is disappointing. I’d have to agree very strongly with Rosalie (May 26) seriously, who wants to watch stuff like the Supernanny and stuff like that? WMC is a great show. To cancel it, ABC, you’d have to be stupid. Stop airing stupid shows, and stop CANCELLING the ones that are actually worth watching!

I am very angry that this show got cancelled!! I think this show did great things for ABC. You cancelled this show, when in actuallity it was very difficult for veiwers to know when it was playing because of the writers strike. I think you need to give this show a second chance!! It was an excellent show that had a strong female cast, not the type that was celebrated in Sex and the City and then repackaged and reproduced as Cashmere Mafia! Bring it back, it was awesome!

started to watch this great show late and on back of my mind who could be stupid enough to cancel this show?ahhhhh of course!!abc,how many of my shows have you canceled throughout the years to the point no one is gonna watch anymore,I am hoping someone else picks it up,hell I’ll watch lifetime if its on there

Women’s Murder Club was great. Finally something on tv that adults can enjoy.
So tired of the same old shows with basically the same old premis. Get real. Your older viewers stay at home more and are more loyal once there is somthing good to watch. Bring back the ladies and give this show a chance.

This show was good, maybe not great but definately worth watching. After the writers strike things went bad quickly, although damage control was implemented by ABC the rating just fell. So it tells all of us TV viewrs that RATINGS are where it is at.
But I am returning to CBS.

This show was outstanding. I can’t believe ABC is cancelling it. First the writer’s strike screwed things up, then they moved this show to a new night and time but didn’t bother to let the viewers know. Hard to tune in to watch a show when you don’t know when it’s on. I am extremely disappointed in ABC. I guess I won’t be watching ABC anymore. With the cancelation of this show, they don’t have anything else worth watching. I’ll stick with CBS.

I’m a black dude from the ghetto, and I liked this show. So please tell me who dumb idea it was to cancel it? The writer’s strike messed up everything, but if u had the WMC come back for a 2nd season, the ratings would have been better.

The network just needs to find the right time slot, not kill the series. As a crime/drama afficionado, I loved the show. My husband, who gets tired of the myriad shows of this nature that I watch even enjoyed it. The ONLY reason I didn’t watch the end of April and beginning of May episodes is because I ddn’t know they were on! It was switched from Friday night (which I preferred) to Tuesday. There was not enough advertising to let the viewers know. There are plenty of show that don’t do well in the first season, only to become very strong in the second. I hate that we’ve apparently lost this one. Please reconsider!
