Zero Hour: Cancellation Reactions from the Cast

zero hour canceled? As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.

Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.

Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”

Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”

Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”

Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”

What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?

Zero Hour was my new LOST…Really had a good story and good cast. Thanks ABC brain trust for pulling the plug! Didn’t even give it chance to catch on as Im sure it would have.

This was a show that had something different.

I am tired of the reality garbage everywhere, and the a good show comes out, and don’t you the moronic viewers let it go. That’s America. Now you can go back to the gators, the endless parade of reruns, or the unending list of “wives” from everywhere.

Shocked!! Everyone I spoke with liked the show and were intrigued by it’s suspense and creativity. The only time I watch TV is when a new series begins that has mystery and intrigue. Then Poof, it’s gone. Weird. So people would watch The Big Bang Theory and American Idol over good TV. Really???

Great show. Loved the plot and the characters. Thought I had the wrong night, station or time. Congrats to the writers, cast and crew. Hate to see it end.

Soooo sad/mad they cancelled this show. They finally put on a show that suspenseful without the smut and it gets cancelled. Despite what others have said, I thought the storyline was very well written. They need to bring back this show! So upset.

When I watched the first hour, I loved it– and immediately knew it was wrong for network TV!! Please ABC and Producers of the show– try to sell the series to a cable network like SyFy for example. Predict it will develop a solid core of fans. Really.

How Sad! One of the best shows to come along in a while! Now we get Shark Tank instead. I Guess any plot that makes people think is just too much for the greater population. Good Job cast. We will miss you. BP

Zero Hour CANCELLED???? WHAT??? Who is running the show over at ABC? And you replaced it with SHARK TANK???? What were you thinking??? You must take us viewers for a bunch of idiots. Well, I for one, will be taking my viewership somewhere else. Sick and tired of the pandering to the least common denominator…..

Well, I am extremely disappointed with ABC, this is the first time that I found anything of interest to watch on ABC. I was always looking forward to the next episode and was extremely curious as to where each episode would lead. To the cast: I enjoyed each character and the development that was presented I think you should finish this and turn it into a full blown movie without the networks help. . . by the way I am sick and tired of shows like “Shark Tank” and “Wife Swap”. Why are you catering to crappy shows, that contribute to the deterioration of American Families ? It appears that ABC only wants to contribute to mindlessness.

ABC has made a wrong choice on this one. Zero Hour was a fantastic show and captured my attention right off. Acting was great, story line was intriguing, and filled with suspense and action. Very disappointed in ABC person, or group that made this decision…I think they should be replaced because it’s apparent that they have no vision on how well this show would have done, if given the chance. Very bad decision ABC!

I was shocked when I noticed my DVR wasn’t recording the show tonight. Thought I changed something by mistake as I have been looking forward to the show all week to watch with my boyfriend. Great show for couples! Then to my dismay, it wasn’t an option in my Guide to even record. ;( I agree with all the other comments made above regarding quality TV these days. Big mistake ABC.
