Zero Hour: Cancellation Reactions from the Cast

zero hour canceled? As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.

Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.

Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”

Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”

Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”

Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”

What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?

ABC needs to reconsider! You dont even give people time to catch on to a new show before determing it unsuccessful. The same thing with DO NO HARM. I guess Red Widow is next so we dont even need to get hooked….

I was shocked this show was cancelled. It has been so long since there was a 8pm (7pm Central) that was worth a darn. I am so sick of all the “reality” shows out there. The newest ABC show coming soon is a ridiculous celebrity diving show…really? UGH! I hope AMC or another independent network picks up the remaining episodes.

Oh my! Shocked! Loved this show! I hate reality TV. Can’t believe you did not give it a chance. Please, please someone else pick it up and give it some time to catch on. I was finally looking forward to something on ABC.

Personally for me I didn’t really get into the show. After 10 mins of the pilot I was so done with it.

One of the best shows on tv. Everyone was talking about it, engaged and waiting for the next episode! . Great concept. What a shame. Finally an interesting story. So much ridiculous bad, disgusting reality on TV and a real story gets cancelled? Pathetic. Who is making these decisions? Ah maybe it was honey boo boo. Because she is the accepted level for programming? So sad.

I have been looking for the next show for weeks now. Finally a show that was not all about scandal and sex and the network cancels it? A show that had a great plot. I hope another network picks it up. Now we will never know how it ends.

This was a great show!! SOOOOOOOO upset that it was cancelled. Noone was watching coz noone knew it was out there. We just happened upon it when checking out On-demand. How ’bout some publicity and another chance for what looked to be one of the best new shows in ages.

what’s wrong with the idiots they call programming executives?????????????????
They finally come up with a new and interesting plot like Zero Hour and trash it! They leave ridiculous dumb-ass rednecks like “Honey Boo-Boob” on and cancel an intellectually stimulating program . Granted the acting may not have won Emmys but it wasn’t as bad as the reality garbage that on that’s so staged and hooky and melodramatic. Even soap operas are better than the reality crap. Bring back a good program!!!!!!!!!!!!
