Zero Hour: Cancelled ABC Show Still Airing — Just Not Here

Zero Hour cancelled episodesThough ABC has cancelled and pulled Zero Hour off the schedule, it looks like viewers north of the border will get a chance to see the remaining episodes.

GlobalTV, which airs the Anthony Edwards show in Canada, still has Zero Hour on their schedule, at least for the next two weeks. The broadcaster runs Zero Hour at 8pm on Thursdays, just like ABC did.

Global makes aired episodes available online but are only available to those with Canada IP addresses.

There’s still no word on when or if ABC will get around to airing the remaining 10 episodes of Zero Hour. A summer run is a possibility but the show’s ratings were so poor that the network could likely garner better ratings from reruns.

On the positive side, ABC hasn’t removed the show from their website so there’s a chance the episodes could also be released there.

What do you think? Do you think Zero Hour will continue airing in Canada? Do you think ABC will air them eventually?

UPDATE: GlobalTV has now pulled Zero Hour as well. Both ABC and GlobalTV only aired three episodes.

I am a senior citizen and don’t really like some of the shows that air. What is ABC doing? Are you crazy? This is a show that I really was getting into, I have a hard time finding a show that me and my husband can agree on and this was a perfect one for us. He is home-bound and doesn’t really watch TV much but this was a show he really enjoyed watching we me. Please put it back on. Don’t wait to long to do it.

I am so sick of shows that require no thought process, if I wanted mindless entertainment I would watch the bachelor, ABC needs to learn to diversify their programming, this was not an expensive to show to make relative to other fantasy/reality dramas….Rich people making choices for those of us that actually watch these shows. ABC needs to hire a real person with real life issues and stresses that like to come home hang with their families and then unwind with a great, well thought out and entertaining show…Shame on you ABC, I know that none of these emails or posts will ever get to an executive. I wish just once that a studio executive would look further than simple numbers at the beginning of a show….remember the old sayings patience is a virtue and all good things take time…..please ABC look at your audience they are changing and so are smart TV execs.

This show was so good! I can’t believe they only gave it 3 episodes. I really hope one of the cable networks picks it up or something. I am getting really sick of starting to watch great shows on ABC and having them cancelled after only a few episodes to be replaced with crappy, mindless reality TV!

Obviously ABC thinks only about ratings, not about the millions of people who were watching this show and enjoying the twists and turns. My whole family would sit down to watch this show trying to figure out what was going to happen next. It was something unique on television. I guess ABC just wants to be like all the other networks.

What a huge disappointment!! Zero Hour is not like the other shows and really has me hooked!! I haven’t found much on ABC to watch lately so I was glad to be back. Now I’ll have to continue to watch the other stations. Not very happy here!!

I agree with all the comments that criticize the decision to pull this show. All the reality shows are geared for the mindless masses who can’t expend any brain power while watching TV. They must live vicariously through the scheming, immoral fools on these contrived reality shows. The thinking person has no choice but to turn to public television or the history channel. There are some good shows on FOX & CBS. Hardly ever watch ABC except for Jeopardy!

Every time a good and interesting show is aired (like maximum Bob) or zero hour you
morons at the network take it off the air!!
All you guys want to air is garbage like cheap reality shows that appeal to other
    morons like yourselves!!!
Thanks for leaving us HANG on the outcome of this show!!
Call me silly, but I like a show that makes the viewer think a little. Well you will have to excuse me, I have a show to watch on public TV.

I can’t believe Zero Hour was cancelled. Do we need to be that much in a hurry? I really liked this show. You don’t give shows a chance. Why must we be so greedy about ratings?

I am furious. SHARK TANK replaced an intelligent show?! After ending another good show in that time slot?! So I will just go to CBS and stay there all night with Person of Interest and Elementary if ABC can’t offer DRAMA!!!

I started to watch this show with my son in Philly and went home and rewatched the premier with my husband. We are very disappointed that the show was cancelled. It was
    Captivating! Please bring it back!!

WOW! I was really into Zero Hour! I kept it on my DVR so I could show company I had from out-of-state. They loved it to and were going to make it one of their regular shows. What are you thinking ABC? Can’t you have a few shows that are original and different?
    Sad in Arizona.

Is there someone at ABC who looks at programs and says, ‘That’s too good for ABC — let’s cancel it.”? Who knows, maybe the Tiffany network, i.e., CBS, will pick it up.

  13. Janice Clark says

Can’t believe Zero Hour is cancelled. I thought ABC had the best program lineup of all the other networks. Am sick of reality shows now. I think they are so much cheaper to produce & why they are going in that direction but that is a bad mistake!
