Zero Hour: Pulled; Is the ABC Show Cancelled?

zero hour canceled? It looks like ABC is pulling Zero Hour off their schedule, at least for next week. The fourth episode of the new TV series had been scheduled to air on March 7th but the listing’s been removed from ABC’s press site.

Zero Hour debuted on February 14th to a disappointing 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.38 million total viewers. Week two saw the numbers drop to a 1.1 rating and 5.39 million and last night’s installment fell to a 1.0 rating with 5.05 million.

We’re waiting to hear if ABC is pulling the series for good or just temporarily. Either way, the show won’t be getting a second season.

Hopefully the network will at least let the five million faithful viewers see the unaired episodes at some point.

UPDATE: Reruns of Shark Tank will air on March 7th and 14th and then ABC will fill the timeslot with season seven of Wife Swap. The remaining episodes of Zero Hour may run this summer. I wouldn’t hold your breath.

What do you think? Do you like Zero Hour? Were you hoping that it would stick around?

Looooved the show!!! It actually had a plot, character development, good vs evil, and a true
puzzle mystery – are you kidding me in pulling it?!? Oh wait, most people had rather watch reality crap or Dancing with the Stars. Hopefully, SciFi or USA, TBS will pick up the series. Our entire family watched this show – including tweens and a high school junior. Great series and hope it comes back for Summer!!!!

CANCELING THIS SHOW IS PAR FOR THE COURSE FOR ABC. I A, SO SICK OF THE STUPID REALITY SHOWS TAKING UP PRIME TIME SPOTS, AND THE SHOWS THAT HAVE A GREAT PLOTS,GOOD ACTING, AND MAKE YOU THINK, AND ARE WORTH A DAMN ARE GETTING CANCELED QUITE OFTEN. I AM SURE ITS JUST ME. BUT SHOWS LIKE ZERO HOUR, GRIMM, THE GATES, HAPPY TOWN, PARK AVENUE, WERE ALL GREAT SHOWS THAT FOR SOME REASON WERE ALL CANCELED? IF ANYBODY WANTS TO KNOW IF A SHOW WILL BE CANCELED, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK ME IF I LIKE IT, AND IF I LIKE IT, IT WILL BE SCRUBBED, KICKED, CAPOTE, OUSTED, CANCELED!!!!!!!

That’s not fair. Some of us don’t get to watch shows when they are AIRED, but rather when I can get them on DEMAND…due to other time restrictions. I was looking forward to a 3 hour marathon to catchup, only to find out that it doesn’t exist….give a show a try!!!

I was so disappointed that it was canceled! The one show in a sea of hospital and stupid reality shows that I was excited to watch. It seems like good shows never get a chance to really start before they’re being canceled.

Why are the good shows always cancelled before they even get a chance to start? ABC you gave the show the bucks to get started, why not show the episodes that are already in the can and at least finish the story line. Due to fan pressure, CBS finally relented with Jericho and at least played it out to a conclusion. At least they didn’t leave us hanging. Zero Hour is a great show. It’s not mindless reality which isn’t real at all. Give it a chance!

My son and I looked forward to Zero Hour each week. Leaving us in limbo is not right. There has to be away for a person to see the whole show. And not leave us with a cliff hanger wondering what happen.

Another great show tht didn’t get a chance. I think they should take this yo SYFY channel and get the cable channel to take over. ABC has really lost their edge in seroius programming quality. Sorry Anthony Edwatds, it was a well cast program, plot was intriguing and suspensful.
