Do you know how The 100 will end? Series creator Jason Rothenberg does, and he revealed other future plans for The CW show at the TCA winter press tour this past weekend.
Season three of The 100 begins on January 21st.
At the press tour, Rothenberg hinted that not only are they finishing up season three, but he already has concrete plans for season four and the series finale:
I know where I want the show to end, I kind of know what I want the final story to be and where I want these people to end up at the end. I don’t know how long that’s going to take. I’m not going to sit here and say I want to do the show for as long as I can do it. I want to do it as long as it’s interesting to me and creatively I feel like we’re not repeating ourselves and so far, I feel like that’s where we are.”
The 100 follows a group of survivors after a nuclear war. Marie Avgeropoulos, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lindsey Morgan, Adina Porter, Paige Turco and Eliza Taylor star.
The CW has not cancelled The 100, but Rothenberg said he’d at least like another season:
Good lord willing we get to Season 4, we have a good idea of what we want that story to be. And if they said this is it, wrap it up, we could make this idea I have right now for the wrap up happen at the end of Season 4. Or 5. Or 8.”
