Over the decades, several versions of Pyramid have found success in syndication, but last year, the Alphabet Network revived the series The $100,000 Pyramid TV show in primetime. As a summer series the new Pyramid, hosted by Michael Strahan, did well enough in the ratings to score a second season renewal. Can they repeat, or even built upon its success? On The $100,000 Pyramid, celebrities partner with contestants and play word games to compete for large cash prizes. Celebrities appearing in the second season on ABC include: Ken Jeong, Dave Foley, Cam Newton, Brandon Marshall, Tom Bergeron, Jennifer Nettles, Margaret Cho, Michael Rapapport, Wendie Malick, Jesse Palmer, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Retta, Bobby Moynihan, Debi Mazar, Sasheer Zamata, David Arquette, and RuPaul.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The first season of The $100,000 Pyramid averaged a 1.23 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic, and a total audience of 6.202 million viewers.
