Could Chloe be coming back? TVLine recently spoke with the executive producers of FOX’s upcoming reboot series, 24: Legacy.
In the original 24 TV series, Mary Lynn Rajskub played Chloe O’Brian, the Counter Terrorism Unit’s loyal tech analyst. The new show stars Corey Hawkins as Eric Carter, a soldier who returns to the U.S. from the Middle East only to find himself preventing a massive terrorist attack.
When asked if Chloe could appear in 24: Legacy, EP Evan Katz said there are “plans”:
We have plans. Right now, our clear priority is [establishing] these new characters, and have the audience build a relationship with them. But we have some surprises planned.”
Earlier, the producers of the reboot said a fan favorite character would return. Perhaps that favorite is Chloe.
EP Manny Coto did emphasize, however, that the new series will be different from 24:
It was a way to start fresh [with a] brand new character — a character that is not Jack Bauer. Jack Bauer was a seasoned agent. This character is not. This character is soldier who is not used to this world of espionage.”
24: Legacy premieres on February 5th.
