36-24-36: Showtime Develops Game Show Model Comedy

Deadline
reports that Showtime is developing a new comedy, 36-24-36. Writer Delia Ephron — sister and sometimes-collaborator of the late, great Nora Ephron — will executive produce. Debra Martin Chase will serve as producer. Former Price Is Right model, Kathleen Bradley, is consulting.

From Deadline:

Written by Ephron, 36-24-36, whose title refers to what had been considered “ideal” female model measurements, is about the first black TV model to be featured on a major game show in 1990. Celebrity and glamour collide with sexual harassment, racism, misogyny, homophobia, bulimia and job insecurity, for the four gorgeous models on the No. 1 game show of the ‘90’s.

Kathleen Bradley, a former “Barker’s Beauty”, serves as a consultant on the project. Bradley was the first full-time Black model on the hit game show The Price Is Right, hosted by Barker. She was one of the models dismissed from the show following their testimonies during Barker’s failed lawsuit against follow model Holly Hailstorm.

What do you think? Are sexual harassment, racism, misogyny, homophobia, bulimia and job insecurity, 30 minute comedy fodder? Do you like the sound of 36-24-36? Do you plan to check it out?
