What’s going on with 7 Little Johnstons? Deadline reports Discovery has filed a suit against the reality series’ production company, LMNO.
The show, which follows a large family who all live with dwarfism, has been in limbo since LMNO and Discovery began a legal dispute earlier this year.
In the motion filed today, Discovery claims “immediate possession of all the completed episodes of the second season of the hit reality TV show,” which are currently being held by LMNO. The production company responded to Deadline, saying Discovery “failed to sign the negotiated contract for this season of the show, and failed and refused to pay the agreed-upon price for these episodes.”
In return, Discovery says they have paid for the episodes and LMNO is “holding the program deliverables for 7 Little Johnstons hostage.” The network terminated its contract with LMNO in June after an audit revealed financial discrepancies within the production company.
