Don’t cry for Neil Patrick Harris. While NBC cancelled his Best Time Ever TV show, after one season, the actor seems set to star as the evil villain, Count Olaf, in the Netflix TV series, A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Over the weekend, The Hollywood Reporter said Harris was in talks for the role. A later cheeky tweet by Harris, who has been acting since childhood, seems to confirm the talks were successful.
I'm excitedish to portray Count Olaf – its spending all day with those three horrible child actors that will be a challenge. #sneer #shudder

Also per The Hollywood Reporter:
Mark Hudis has exited the straight-to-series drama as showrunner. A replacement has yet to be named. Netflix declined comment.
This adaptation of the Lemony Snicket book series is expected to start shooting this coming spring. No word on whether the Hudis exit will affect the production schedule.
What do you think? Are you a Lemony Snicket fan? What do you think of Neil Patrick Harris in the Count Olaf role? Will you watch A Series of Unfortunate Events TV adaptation, on Netflix?
