ABC Buys Father-Son Comedy Series Project

All Together Now TV show; Untitled Father Son Comedy TV show pilot ABC: cancelled or renewed?

ABC is developing an untitled Father-Son single camera TV show comedy pilot from writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit and Will Gluck’s Olive Bridge Entertainment. Deadline reports Sony Pictures TV, where Olive Bridge is based, is the studio.

According to the report, the comedy (aka All Together Now), is inspired by Hernandez’s family history. Deadline says, “It centers around a free-spirit rock and roller who, in an attempt to be a better provider, gets his first real job working at a music store owned by his biological father, a former rock star who he has never met.”

Here is more on the Hernandez family, from Deadline:

Except for Dan, everyone in his family is a musician. His mother met his dad when she joined his band, and Dan’s brother is a musician, producer, and music instructor in Atlanta. Members of his family have shared the stage with such musicians as Eddie Kendricks (from the Temptations), Commander Cody, Andre Williams, Tone Loc, and the Derek Trucks Band. They have opened for AC/DC, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, Willie Nelson, Mother’s Finest, G Love & Special Sauce, Maceo Parker, and Gregg Allman.

What do you think? How do you like the sound of this new comedy? Do you like the “All Together Now” title, or would you choose something else? Toss out your suggestions, in the comments.
