Anchored by Cynthia McFadden and Bill Weir, the ABC News series debuted on May 29th with just a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.14 million total viewers. The demo stayed constistent for the next three episodes while viewership fell. After that, both dropped.
Over the course of the 11 episodes that have aired so far, The Lookout’s ratings have fallen to a low of a 0.7 demo rating and 2.85 million viewers. Not good.
Based on these ratings, it seems highly unlikely that ABC will bring this program back for another season. They can surely get better numbers from a new show or even reruns.
But, what do you think? Has ABC’s The Lookout been helpful to you? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season, because of the helpful information it brings to viewers?
