The Affair is back on Showtime. Will fans see a fourth season? A season after season three was not planned by the creator of the series, but that does not mean the series will definitely end with the current season.
Sarah Treem said the following about the future of the series in an interview with TV Guide:
“I had three seasons planned when I pitched it to Showtime. What I don’t know is if there will be more than three seasons. The original pitch was just three seasons, so we’ll see.”
