Episode 105 — All the Time In the World
Following the destruction of APO headquarters, Sydney, Jack, and Vaughn follow Sark and Sloane to a cavern in Mongolia. Sloane is able to use the Horizon to become immortal and shoots Jack. Sark escapes to Irina in Hong Kong to fulfill Sloane’s plan of sending missiles to destroy Washington, D.C. and London.

Sydney and Irina battle on a rooftop and Irina falls though a skylight to her death, just as she reaches for the Horizon. Vaughn shoots Sark to get the missile codes from him and succeeds in aborting the missile launches (with Michael’s help).

Before Sloane can leave the cavern, a fatally injured Jack detonates bombs he’s carrying and causes a cave-in that traps immortal Sloane under a boulder and rubble, deep below the surface. The ghost of Sloane’s daughter, Nadia, turns her back on him and leaves him trapped alive and alone, forever.

The episode flashes forward several years where we see seven year old Isabel playing by the ocean. Her parents, Vaughn and Sydney, are visited by “Uncle Dixon” who is now the deputy director. Sydney is holding infant Jack and Dixon tells them that Marshall sends his best. He would have come along but Carrie’s stuck at home in bed as she prepares to give birth to their fourth son.

Dixon wants help from Sydney on an assignment that involves a stolen hard drive and Sark (whom Vaughn let go in exchange for the missile codes). They decide to talk after dinner.

In her room, Isabel easily constructs a certain set of wooden block and then nonchalantly topples them over when called by her mother. Dixon and the family stroll along the beach as the series ends.

A message comes up on the screen, thanking the viewers for a great five years.
First aired: May 22, 2006.

Behind the Scenes

Though the series was never a huge hit, Alias developed a cult following. Season four, the show’s most popular, attracted an average of 10.3 million viewers and was the 40th most watched series for the 2004-05 season. The ratings fell considerably the following year when the series was moved to Thursday nights and Alias was cancelled.
The last episodes of Alias aired opposite the season finales of 24 and CSI: Miami and attracted just 6.68 million viewers and a 2.7/6 rating/share of adults 18-49.
