All of Me: NBC Developing Remake of ’80s Steve Martin Comedy

All of Me

Remakes of ’80s sitcoms are yesterday’s news. It’s all about remakes of ’80s movies as Deadline reports that NBC is developing a television remake of the 1984 Steve Martin body-switching comedy All of Me.

Directed by Carl Reiner, the film featured Steve Martin as an unhappy, middle-aged attorney who dreams of being a jazz guitarist. Via psychic, the soul of an offbeat millionaire (Lily Tomlin) inhabits his body. Hijinks ensue.

The half-hour series will only be loosely based on the film, and My Boys creator Betsy Thomas will act as showrunner and executive producer.
