Last week, ABC officially announced the second season of American Crime would premiere on January 6th. Now, Variety has released an exclusive first look at the series, with some new photos from the upcoming second season.
Created by John Ridley, American Crime is an anthology series that follows the the issues surrounding a single crime over the course of a season. The first season centered on a murder in Modesto, California and was nominated for 10 Emmys in 2015.
The second season will take place in a high school in the Midwest where scandalous photos of a high school boy are posted to social media. Drugs, sex, class, and race all come into play as the community deals with the complex situation.
Regular stars Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, and Regina King will return.
