On American Grit, 16 of the country’s toughest men and women are split into four teams as they work together to face a variety of military-grade and survival-themed challenges. Cena and an elite group of mentors (Rorke Denver, Noah Galloway, Tawanda Hanible, and Nicholas Irving) from the nation’s most exclusive military units push these civilians beyond their limits. Up to $1,000,000 of prize money is up for grabs.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
