American Horror Story: Season Eight; Ryan Murphy Teases the Future of the FX Series

What’s next for American Horror Story? Recently, Ryan Murphy teased season eight of the FX TV show, The Wrap reports.

The last season of the anthology horror drama was titled Cult and explored the events surrounding the 2016 presidential election. The cast included Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes, Lena Dunham, and Adina Porter.

At the TCA winter press tour, Murphy revealed the eighth season of American Horror Story will take place decades in the future:

It’s still topical, but [set in] the future, which I’ve never done… I think people will like it. It’s different from what we’ve done before.

And what about the future of the FX series? Murphy says a future season could feature a Murder House/Coven crossover:

We’re working on it, but that’s not going to be [Season 8]. That will probably be the one after that. We’ve already met about it and outlined it. But it won’t be next because some of the [cast members] are not available.”

What do you think? Are you a fan of American Horror Story? Are you excited for the upcoming season?
