Randy Jackson has left the judges’ table and become a mentor. Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban have returned to judge and Harry Connick Jr. has joined them. Will these shake-ups help American Idol’s ratings or will they continue to fall? We’ll see.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, American Idol usually airs twice a week, on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Reference point: The Thursday episodes from season 12 averaged a 3.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.90 million total viewers.
