American Idol: Season 17; Auditions Underway for ABC Series

American Idol is back in action. ABC just announced the TV show has begun auditions for its 17th season .
The latest season of the singing competition series wrapped in May and featured Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan as judges. Ryan Seacrest returned as host.
ABC has not yet announced the premiere date for season 17 of American Idol, but you can check out photos from the first round of auditions below:
