The Americans is getting ready for its fifth season, and there are a lot of secrets about what is coming up next on the series.
Joe Weisberg would not even reveal the theme of the upcoming season of the FX series to Yahoo. He teased the following:
“The theme of this season would be a spoiler. We can’t tell you the theme.”
However, there are some teasers available for what is next on the series. Fans will learn Philip and Elizabeth’s decision about moving back to the Soviet Union in the season premiere.
Joel Fields teased to TV Line that Philip’s issues with being a spy will be a focus of season five. He said that:
“Almost from the beginning of the show, we saw that as a series-long journey for Philip, and Season 5 is going to be very, very big for Philip’s struggles with those questions.”
