Sunday’s season finale was Bergeron’s last episode as host and now ABC has found a replacement — Alfonso Ribeiro. The announcement was made on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars.
While he may be best remembered as Carlton Banks on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ribeiro has hosted several shows in the past. They include Unwrapped 2.0, Spell-Mageddon, and Catch 21. He was also a co-host on GSN for a time.
Ribeiro will start hosting AFV with season 26 which will debut in the fall on ABC. THR has an interview.
