From American Idol to America’s Got Talent. The judges from America’s Got Talent recently discussed the addition of Simon Cowell to the panel this season, Variety reports.
Cowell, who co-created the variety show, will be joined by returning judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum. Nick Cannon will also return as host of the NBC series.
During a panel for NBC’s Summer Press Tour last week, Mandel says Cowell has a certain “reputation”:
You have a reputation that precedes you. It is more fun than we have ever had in the history of this show. We didn’t know that you were going to enjoy yourself so much. If we’re all enjoying ourselves, we feel like we’re at the best party in the world.”
Cowell added:
When I came down to watch the show being filmed, I was sitting in the audience thinking, ‘They are very good, this panel.’ I was kind of hoping one of them would hurt themselves so I could go, ‘I’m here!’ because it really looks so much fun, this show.”
America’s Got Talent returns for a new season on May 31st at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
