Anderson Cooper isn’t leaving CNN anytime soon. Variety reports the news anchor has renewed his contract with the network for at least the next five years.
Cooper has worked as a news anchor, reporter, and host on CNN since he started on American Morning in the early 2000s. He began his own news program, Anderson Cooper 360, in 2003.
Though Cooper was considered a possible co-host replacement for Michael Strahan on ABC’s Live with Kelly, the new deal with CNN cements his position with the news network.
