From Disney:

Production has begun in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Disney Channel’s “Andi Mack,” a single-camera series about a journey of self-discovery for a 13-year-old girl who finds herself questioning everything she’s ever known after her older sister returns home unexpectedly. Created and executive produced by Terri Minsky (of Disney Channel’s hit series “Lizzie McGuire”), the series stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the title role and is scheduled for a 2017 premiere.

Joining the previously announced cast is Sofia Wylie (“Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn” and “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Buffy, Andi’s best friend and confidante. Also starring are Lilan Bowden (“Zombie Apocalypse”) as Bex, Lauren Tom (“The Joy Luck Club,” “Friends”) as Celia, Joshua Rush (Disney’s “The Lion Guard”) as Cyrus and newcomer Asher Angel as Jonah Beck.

Michelle Manning (Disney Channel’s “Adventures in Babysitting,” “Teen Beach 2,” “The Breakfast Club”) is also an executive producer with Terri Minsky. Phil Baker (“Good Luck Charlie”) is the co-executive producer. Paul Hoen is directing the first two episodes (he has directed 13 Disney Channel Original Movies and is a DGA Award winner for two of those titles).”
